Last week, information surfaced about complications with the production of the expected Apple Watch Series 7. The Nikkei Asia portal first came up with this information, and it was later confirmed by the respected Bloomberg analyst and journalist Mark Gurman. This news brought a little chaos among apple growers. No one really knows whether the watch will be presented traditionally alongside the new iPhone 13, i.e. next Tuesday, September 14, or whether its unveiling will be postponed until October. Although the prediction is practically constantly changing, you can count on the fact that the popular "Watchky" will come even now - but it will have a smaller catch.

Why Apple ran into complications

You may be wondering why Apple actually encountered these complications that put the introduction of the Apple Watch in jeopardy. Common sense might lead you to think that some complex innovation could be to blame, for example in the form of a brand new health sensor. But the opposite is (unfortunately) true. According to Gurman, the new display technology is to blame, because of which the suppliers have more serious problems with the production itself.

In any case, there was also information about the arrival of a sensor for measuring blood pressure. However, this was quickly refuted, again by Gurman. In addition, it has been said for a long time that this year's generation of Apple Watch will not bring any news on the health side, and we will probably have to wait for similar sensors until next year.

So when will the show take place?

As we mentioned above, there are two variants in the game. Either Apple will postpone the presentation of this year's generation of Apple watches to October, or it will be unveiled alongside the iPhone 13. But the second option has a smaller catch. Since the giant is facing production difficulties, it is logical that it will not be able to distribute the watch in sufficient quantities immediately after the presentation. Nevertheless, analysts are leaning on the side of the September revelation. The Apple Watch Series 7 just won't be completely available in the first few weeks, and most Apple users will have to wait.

We encountered a similar postponement of the deadline last year for the iPhone 12. At that time, everything was to blame for the global pandemic of the covid-19 disease, due to which companies from the apple supply chain had huge problems with production. Since a similar situation happened practically not long ago, many people expected the Apple Watch to meet a similar fate. But it is necessary to realize one rather important thing. The iPhone is Apple's most important product. This is precisely why the risk of phone shortages must be eliminated as much as possible. The Apple Watch, on the other hand, is on the so-called "second track." Summa summarum, the Apple Watch Series 7 should be presented on Tuesday, September 14.

What changes await us?

In the case of the Apple Watch Series 7, the most talked about is the long-awaited design change. The Cupertino giant probably wants to slightly unify the design of its products, which is why the new Apple Watch will look similar to, for example, the iPhone 12 or the iPad Pro. So Apple is going to bet on sharp edges, which will also allow it to increase the size of the display by 1 millimeter (specifically to 41 and 45 millimeters). At the same time, in the case of the display, a completely new technique will be used, thanks to which the screen will look more natural. At the same time, there is also talk of extending battery life.
