This applies to the new 13 and 15" MacBook Air, when the M3 chip integration is their main and, in fact, almost the only upgrade.
Apple touts it as the most popular laptop in the world, although it doesn't give us any comparison, only through Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, saying that: "MacBook Air is our most popular Mac, and more and more customers are choosing it over any other laptop." According to him, it is better than ever before, which can already be believed, because it not only has a new M3 chip, but also a modern and fresh design that is identical to MacBook Pro.
Performance in first and last place
With the M3 chip, which is made with 3nm technology, the new MacBook Air is supposed to be up to 60% faster than the model with the M1 chip and up to 13 times faster than the fastest MacBook Air with an Intel processor. Both models are characterized by a thin and light design, a Liquid Retina display and a battery life of up to 18 hours. By the way, this is 6 hours more than the MacBook Air with Intel managed. But it's the same as the M2 MacBook Air.

However, everything is faster, i.e. image enhancement using artificial intelligence with Super Resolution functions in Pixelmator is up to 40% faster than on the 13-inch model with the M1 chip and up to 15x faster on the one with Intel, working with Excel spreadsheets is up to 35 percent faster than on the 13-inch model with the M1 chip, editing in Final Cut Pro by 60%.
The displays are therefore 13,6 and 15,3" with a brightness of up to 500 nits and support for a billion colors. There is support for up to two external displays (with the lid closed). So far, one and that of the MacBook has been supported. Since the M3 chip supports Wi-Fi 6E, this wireless standard is also present (Bluetooth is a 5.3 specification). There is MagSafe and two Thunderbolt ports as well as a 3,5mm jack connector. The FaceTime camera is the same with 1080p resolution. The latest news is voice isolation and wide spectrum modes and improved voice intelligibility for both audio and video calls. That's all.
The price of the 13" MacBook Air with the M3 chip starts at 31 CZK, the 990" starts at 15 CZK. There are four color variants, namely dark ink, star white, silver and space gray. But the previous generation has become pleasantly cheaper, because the 37" version starts at 990 CZK. The M13 MacBook Air has dropped from the menu. The novelties go on sale from March 29.
