Users of smart technologies are practically divided into two groups. The first group is satisfied with the products from the Californian giant, they don't let them go and they wouldn't want to hear about the competition for anything in the world, while the second group, on the contrary, tries to "throw dirt" on Apple and look for mistakes that this company has ever made. As is often the case, the truth is somewhere in the middle and everyone has to choose which devices suit them best. After all, smart technologies are meant to serve you, not you them. In today's article, we will highlight the benefits that you will get after entering the apple world.
A connection that you would look for in vain in the competition
In the age of modern technology, it is very popular to use various cloud solutions - thanks to them, you can access your files from anywhere. However, Apple took it a step further with iCloud. The Californian giant emphasizes privacy above all with iCloud, but we must also mention the completely smooth switching between iPhone, iPad or Mac, to the point where you might sometimes think that you are always working on one device. Whether we're talking about features Handoff, automatic switching of AirPods or unlocking the Mac using the Apple Watch, you would either not find these options at all in the competition, or you would find them, but not in such an elaborate form.
Matched hardware with software
When you reach for an Android phone, you can't be sure that you'll get the same user experience you're used to from another device with every Android phone — and the same goes for Windows computers. Individual manufacturers add various superstructures and emulations to their machines, which sometimes do not work as you would imagine. However, this is not true of Apple. He creates both hardware and software himself, and his products benefit from this. In the paper specifications, iPhones are shoved so-called "into the pocket" by any cheaper manufacturer, in practice it is just the opposite. Of course, I still have to mention the support of the latest software for several long years. Currently, one iPhone should last you up to 5 years, of course with a battery change.
Security and privacy first
You could say that there are two ways that tech giants use to make money. One of them is the constant monitoring and personalization of ads, thanks to which, although the customer does not have to pay large amounts, on the other hand, we cannot talk about privacy. The second path that Apple is taking is that you have to pay quite a bit for most services, but you are guaranteed security in the system and on the website. If you don't mind the technology giants tracking you in practically every action you perform on a given device, you won't have a problem using products from competing brands. Personally, I am a supporter of the opinion that it is better to pay for the comfortable but safe use of the device, which is offered by the apple company.
Value of older products
For a large group of users, it is enough to buy a new phone once every 5 years, which then serves them without problems until the end of support. But if you upgrade your computer or phone every two years or even pre-order new devices every year, you know that many users reach for an iPhone that has been used for a year. In addition, you will sell the device for a relatively decent amount, so you don't have to worry about making a significant loss. However, this does not apply to Android phones or Windows computers, where you can easily lose 50% of the original price in a year. For Android, the reason is simple - these devices simply don't have that long of support. As for computers with a system from Microsoft, in this case there are really countless manufacturers, so people prefer to look for a new product rather than buy a device from the bazaar.
iPhone 11:
So I wasn't convinced by the 75k laptop, where the keyboard completely fell apart under my hand. And I need to use the computer, not have it serviced somewhere for a week.
Sure, every computer can go wrong, either software or hardware, and yes, it does happen. Apple is no exception, but neither is its competition.
I was definitely convinced by the Macbook 16″, which falls when connecting any TB3 accessory and does not support the connection of multiple displays by chaining, because Apple did not implement it. That's what you want for the money!
Privacy maybe, but security definitely not. A lot of security bugs Apple either ignores or fixes them quite late, how often does a security update come out? It's true that Apple systems are designed to be secure, but that doesn't mean that a security bug can't occur. In such a case, it is desirable to repair it as quickly as possible, which is unfortunately not the case with Apple?
And how often do Android updates come out?
On S20 every month. Which was significantly more often than with previous Apple devices. But it's the top line. In any case, Apple leads when it comes to the updateability of the devices themselves. About 5 years is respectable and only a dream on Android (I don't buy custom ROMs - who has time to play).
I use both Apple products (notebook) and Google products (telephone), but I am sorry that the author of the article here also gives the most stupid (and unfortunately the most common) comparison :-(
2nd criterion, I quote "In case you reach for an Android phone,..." and "However, this does not apply to Apple.". Classic amateur comparison. Talking about thousands of phones with the most different add-ons and emulations, which do not cooperate perfectly with the OS, is mostly a layman (I thought Benjamin already has some experience). So Apple with its iOS is really aligned HW with SW, exactly like Google with its Android - without any superstructures and emulation. How pathetic it is to compare apples with pears instead of comparing one company (Apple) with another (Google), or their OS (iOS vs. Android) => see Apple vs. Android.
It would probably require better work by the editor, so that there is no comparison of "BMW cars with a spark-ignition engine".
Otherwise, the 1st and 4th reasons can really be accepted as an advantage of Apple, the 3rd is debatable and very subjective. Well, the 2nd is bullshit.
