It is estimated that Apple will probably introduce the next generation of iPad Pro in the fall. However, looking at the current models, many users wonder if we really need a new generation.
The current iPad Pro offers everything we could wish for. Excellent design (except for sags), uncompromising performance, great displays and battery life. We can optionally add an LTE module to this, which takes usability to a truly mobile level.
In addition, iPadOS will arrive in September, which, although it will still be based on iOS at its core, will respect the differences between a tablet and a smartphone and offer much-missed functions. Of all of them, let's name, for example, desktop Safari or proper work with files. Finally, we'll be able to run two instances of the same application, so you can have two note windows next to each other, for example. Just great.
Excellent hardware, soon software
The question remains what could actually be missing. Yes, the software is not perfect and there is still room for improvement. Random cooperation with external monitors is still more than tragic, because apart from simple mirroring, the additional surface cannot be used sensibly.
But in terms of hardware, nothing is missing. The Apple A12X processors beating in iPad Pros are so far in performance that they boldly compete with Intel mobile processors (no, not desktop ones, whatever the benchmarks show). Thanks to USB-C, the tablet can also be expanded with everything the user may need. We can randomly mention, for example, an SD card reader, external storage or a connection with a projector. Models with LTE handle data transfers with ease, and quite quickly. The camera used is very solid and does not necessarily serve as a scanner replacement. Until it seems that iPad Pros don't have a weak point.
Little space
However, this can be storage. The lowest capacity of 64 GB, of which a good 9 GB is eaten by the system itself, is not too much for work. And what if you want to use the iPad Pro as a portable player and record a few movies and series in HD quality.
So it can be said that if the rejuvenated generation did not bring anything other than simply increasing the basic storage size to 256 GB, it would be absolutely enough for most users. Of course, we will certainly see new processors again, the performance of which most of us will not use at all. Maybe the RAM size will increase so we can have even more apps running in the background.
So we don't really need the new iPad Pro generation at all. The only ones who are definitely in a hurry are the shareholders. But that's just the way it is in business.
We need a version that won't break under closer inspection.
Who needs more storage in the base? No one at all. Anyone who wants more space can simply go for a variant with more storage. What is the problem? I don't think anywhere at all. On the other hand, smaller storage in the base reduces the price for those who do not need to store movies there.
Well, you can look at it from the other side. If the base was 128 GB at the same price, many of those who pay extra today would not have to pay extra. And if Apple is pushing this machine as a replacement for the 12-inch MacBook, then 64 GB is basically not enough. And it doesn't have to be about saved movies.
The bending is the main reason not to buy. Apple does not automatically recognize it as a reason for a complaint if there is a scratch on the iPad. And in terms of price, with an adequate disk, keyboard and pencil, it already competes with the MacBook Pro. From my point of view, this is an overpriced failure.
I've had it since it came out and it hasn't let me down yet. So the talk about why to buy it seems out of place to me. It depends on everyone how they treat him. I don't think it's a problem in normal use. Whether to buy or not depends on what one uses it for. With iOS 13, it can be connected via Usb3 flash memory. So memory size is no longer such a problem. YES for me.
In most cases, two instances of the same application cannot be run even in OSX.
Well, for me, obviously the battery and the weight... two things that really annoy me... otherwise, of course, the top of the market...
