The beta version of the upcoming iOS 12 operating system has been available in the developer version since the WWDC conference. After less than a month, Apple decided that the quality of the beta had reached such a level that it could offer it to regular users for testing. So it happened, and last night Apple moved the new operating systems from closed beta testing to open. Anyone with a compatible device can participate. How to do it?

First of all, please note that this is still a work in progress software that may appear unstable. By installing, take into account the potential risk of data loss and system instability. I've personally been using the iOS 12 beta since the first developer release, and in all that time I've only registered two issues - Skype not starting (fixed after the last update) and occasional GPS issues. If you are familiar with the risks of using beta software, you can proceed with the installation.

It is very simple. First you need to log in to beta program of Apple. You can find the website here. After signing in to your iCloud account (and agreeing to the terms) you need to select an operating system, whose beta software you want to download. In this case, choose iOS and download from the website beta profile. Please confirm download and install, which will be followed by restart the device. Once your iPhone/iPad restarts, you will find the current version of the tested beta in the classic Settings - In general - updates software. From now on, you have access to new betas until you delete the installed beta profile. The entire process of accessing and installing new betas works in the same way both on iOS devices and in the case of macOS or tvOS.

Before you start any manipulation with the versions of operating systems and their installation, we strongly recommend making a backup in case data is damaged or lost during the process. Otherwise, we wish you comfortable testing of new products :)
