Vratislav Holub Unfortunately, this year we are plagued by the global pandemic of the disease COVID-19, due to which Apple was forced to postpone the introduction and subsequent release of its iPhones. The 6,1″ iPhones 12 and 12 Pro hit store shelves first, and we had to wait for the 12 mini and 12 Pro Max models – that is, until now. We have traditionally managed to get new pieces to the editorial office on the very first day of sales, thanks to which you can look forward to fresh testing of the new products themselves in the form of unboxings, first impressions and final reviews. But first, let's dive into unboxing the highly anticipated model – the iPhone 12 mini.
As you can see in the attached pictures, we bought this year's little one in black, which is evident from the box itself. But we will stay with the packaging itself for a while. As you all know, the Californian giant decided to take a rather drastic step in the wake of ecology. Starting with this year's generation of new iPhones, it no longer includes a power adapter and headphones, thanks to which it managed to reduce the size of the box itself and reduce the ecological burden on the planet Earth. Personally, I have to admit that I find the packaging quite cute. When I know that the aforementioned little thing, or iPhone 12 mini, is hidden inside, it all just kind of fits together.

Except for its size, the box does not really differ twice from the previous generations. The layout of the inscriptions and Apple logos is then identical again. However, we have already indicated above that the content has changed to a certain extent, which made the mentioned reduction possible. After removing the top part, the first thing that smiles at us is the iPhone itself. On it we can observe another difference, which is in the foil. In previous years, the apple phone was covered with a transparent film, which this year was replaced by an opaque film. Underneath the phone is still a meter-long USB-C/Lightning cable for powering the iPhone and tiny manuals that open accordion-style. The package is then supplemented with one Apple sticker and a needle for the SIM card.

The black one looks great - exactly what I want. If the iPhone 12 Pro were black, I would have a harder decision, but they are not, so I will combine the black version with the long-awaited smaller size and take the black mini.
