The latest version of the firmware for AirPods wireless headphones is marked 5B59, its installation takes place automatically after connecting the headphones to the corresponding iPhone. Unfortunately, Apple has not released any details regarding what news the said firmware update should bring to users.

Siri and the false alarm

The past week brought, among other things, one rather curious piece of news. In one of the Australian gyms, the digital assistant Siri recently caused quite a stir, or rather, the intervention unit that "thanks" to Siri broke into the gym. The intervention was preceded by an absurd scenario that you would expect at most in a movie. According to available reports, one of the trainers – thirty-four-year-old Jamie Alleyne – accidentally activated Siri on his Apple Watch. He himself did not notice this fact and continued to practice, during which he said, among other things, "1-1-2", which happens to be the Australian emergency phone number. To make matters worse, words such as "good hit" were also uttered during training - already after the emergency line was called. Operators on the line believed that there could be a shooting or suicide threat in the gym and sent 15 armed police officers to the scene. Everything was explained on the spot, of course, and the training could continue after a while.
