Apple again in court over taxes
It's no secret that Apple has its European headquarters in Ireland because of favorable taxes. However, the agreement between Apple and Ireland is a thorn in the side of the European Commission, which repeatedly tries to make Apple pay extra in taxes what it managed to save thanks to the mentioned agreement. The Cupertino company has already appeared before the court because of this in the past, but it issued a decision according to which Apple did not make a mistake. However, the European Commission does not intend to give up and has decided to file an appeal against the said resolution. Ultimately, the European Supreme Court will decide whether Apple must pay billions of Euros in taxes.
Czech candidate for the Apple Design Award 2023
The annual developer conference WWDC is, among other things, also the venue for the announcement of the prestigious Apple Design Award. Apple posted on its website list of finalists of the said competition. This year, there is also a Czech company among the candidates - specifically, the domestic development studio Charles Games, whose iron in the fire became the title Beecarbonize. This year's developer conference WWDC takes place on June 5 in the premises of Apple Park, and after a long time it will be held with the physical presence of guests. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple has had to temporarily resort to online conferences.
WWDC 2023 website launch
There is less and less time between the WWDC developer conference mentioned above. Apple is already fully prepared for this important event, which, among other things, is evidenced by the fact that it launched a special website dedicated to the entire conference. The most prominently perceived part of the WWDC conference is its opening Keynote, which this year takes place on Monday, June 5. The program of the conference as such will last until June 9. The aforementioned website is dedicated to the details of the program, on which Apple provides, for example, details about the Apple Design Awards, programs and workshops for developers and other interesting information.
