US wants to ban TikTok

Relations between the United States of America and China have been very shaky for a long time - it probably doesn't need to be reminded. The US and China are at war with each other everywhere, including digitally. Today we learned from the United States of America, namely from its Secretary of State, that the government is going to discuss banning TikTok in the US. The TikTok app, which currently has over 2 billion downloads, comes from Chinese developers, which is a major stumbling block. The US government believes that the Chinese app TikTok is collecting various sensitive and personal data from users. Diplomats of the United States of America state that users simply have to reckon with this information, whether it is a true or false statement. Of course, TikTok's statement was not long in coming - the spokesperson said that the company is run by an American executive, and TikTok has hundreds of employees in the US. Whatever the truth may be, this further jab at relations between the US and China will definitely not help, on the contrary.

Sony sells a t-shirt with air conditioning

Let's face it - who among us hasn't Googled air conditioning on a summer day when it's over 30 degrees Celsius outside? The air conditioner is perhaps the only device that can lower the temperature in the room in which it is located. Nowadays, air conditioning is also found in cars, and it would not be progress if we did not see further expansion. Sony has come up with t-shirts in which you can place a small air conditioning unit. Together with the air conditioning unit, this T-shirt will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. According to the available information, the t-shirt is able to cool the person in question by 12,8 degrees Celsius, and in winter to warm him by less than 8 degrees Celsius. Users can easily control the T-shirt using a mobile app and Bluetooth. The battery inside the air conditioner lasts 2 to 4 hours, then the battery is fully charged in 2 hours. The t-shirt alone will cost you 18 euros, the air conditioning unit 106 euros. So for three thousand and three hundred you can buy the whole set, just click on the link below.

Vodafone shuts down the 3G network

Even today, it can still happen that in an area with poorer signal coverage, your smartphone will connect to the now outdated 3G network. The 3G network has been here with us for several long years, and during that time we have seen the introduction of the 4G/LTE network, which is currently very widespread, but 5G is also getting its say, and is being talked about more and more, although often in the wrong word meaning. Some individuals even confuse the 5G network with the main spreader of the coronavirus, which is of course completely wrong information, and information about people destroying a 5G transmitter will continue to circulate on the Internet from time to time. But back to the 3G network - Vodafone is about to stop supporting this network. Specifically, support will end on March 31, 2021, so Vodafone users will be forced to start using a mobile phone with the ability to connect to 4G or 5G, i.e. for mobile data. If some users do without mobile data, they will certainly be pleased by the fact that canceling 3G has no effect on calling or sending SMS messages.

Apple does not count on Intel or AMD in the future

It's been a few weeks since WWDC20 saw the introduction of new operating systems, along with its own solution for Apple ARM processors, which the Californian giant calls Apple Silicon. This is one of the most significant milestones in Apple's history, the entire transition to its own ARM processors should take two years. After these two years, Apple will split its macOS devices into devices with an Apple Silicon processor and devices that run on processors from Intel. Gradually, the user base of Apple Silicon Macs is expected to keep growing until Apple doesn't need Intel at all. In addition, today we saw the release of a special document for developers, in which Apple points out the fact that its Apple Silicon ARM processors will only be able to work with their own graphics card. In this case too, there will be a similar division - Apple Silicon will use its own GPU solutions, and devices with Intel will continue to offer graphics cards from AMD. However, as soon as the number of devices with processors from Intel starts to decrease, so does the use of graphics cards from AMD. As soon as Apple gets rid of Intel, so does AMD.
