Tim Cook made a business trip to Japan this month, where he visited, for example, the local Apple Story, met with developers, but also gave an interview to the Nikkei Asian Review. During the interview, a number of interesting topics were discussed, and Cook clarified here, among other things, why he thinks the iPhone has a promising future ahead of it.
It might seem that in the field of smartphones - or specifically iPhones - there is not much new to come up with. However, in the mentioned interview, Tim Cook strongly denied that the iPhone was a finished, mature, or even boring product, and promised a number of innovations in this direction in the future. At the same time, he admitted that the relevant process is faster in some years and slower in others. "I know no one would call a twelve-year-old mature," Cook responded, citing the age of the iPhone and when asked if he thought the smartphone market had matured to the point where no innovation was possible.
But he added that not every new iPhone model can serve as an example of a significant innovation. "But the key is to always do things well, not just for the sake of change," he pointed out. Despite Apple's recent struggles, Cook remains bullish on iPhones, saying their product line has "never been stronger."
Of course, Cook did not reveal any specific details regarding future iPhones, but we can already get a certain idea based on various analyzes and estimates. iPhones should receive 2020G connectivity in 5, there is also speculation about a ToF 3D sensor.

There is no fear of that. This has been going on since the death of Jobs. Then he just awkwardly copied not only the services, but also the HW from the competition. So that I don't have to repeat myself, e.g. Apple Pay, Apple Music, Apple TV and HW e.g. HomePod, Apple Pencil are stolen.
In my opinion, Apple is making incredible progress. Selling three generations of almost the same phone design /X, XS and 11/ is really an art. People buy it and they could manage it with this design for another year / maybe I can manage it and everyone will be showing iPhone 13 concepts with 5G, without bezels and wireless charging for 2021 next year/. Even thanks to this progress, I am already considering, although I don't like it /only the software is holding me back/ to switch to a competitor.
