Apple has announced that it will not miss its traditional event to celebrate music this year. However, in 2015 several changes await the traditional iTunes Festival - for example, a new name and time of the event. An event under the name will take place in London's Roundhouse apple music festival and instead of the previous whole month, it will last only 10 days.
Pharrell Williams, One Direction, Florence + The Machine and Disclosure will headline the festival, which runs from September 19 to 28. "We wanted to do something really special for music fans this year," said Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Internet Services.
"Apple Music Festival is a collection of greatest hits and incredible nights featuring some of the best artists on the planet live, while interacting directly with their fans via Connect and Beats 1," Cue revealed.
The inclusion of the new music streaming service Apple Music in the traditional music festival makes a lot of sense. In addition to the traditional live streaming of all concerts on Apple Music, iTunes and the Apple Music Festival channel on Apple TV, the artists will also appear on Beats 1 radio shows and provide behind-the-scenes coverage and other news on the Connect network.
The original iTunes Festival was first held in London in 2007 and since then over 550 artists have performed in front of over half a million fans right at the Roundhouse. Also this year, only UK residents can apply for tickets.
I'm looking forward to Flo :)
I'll be in London at the time, but I'm out of luck anyway. "Apple Music Festival is for UK residents only." Or am I mistaken and there is a way to get there… ?
One of the best artists in the world... One Direction... That really amused me... :-D Otherwise, Florence + the Machine is of course great :-)
Well, if only in the world. But even on the whole planet. That's really powerful
I would expect that after the arrival of Apple Music and the renaming of the festival, the length of the festival will not be significantly shortened. This is such a lite version of previous years... and One Direction.
Well, this year the headliners are not a hit for me. But apparently they will be communicative on Beats1.
A paradox. I prefer something that has depth. For example, Sovereign is great.
For me Suveren is very PEASANTLY. Also rural radoby rap. Slovakia is peasant in itself. And when someone tries to imitate rap in it and also tries to philosophize and give advice, it is not to be listened to. Perhaps only Rytmus is worse with those borrowed cars, playing for 50 cents, with the killer motorcyclist and Steidla's warm-up Darinka second to him. Yes, celebrities from Slovakia are here showing us how to do real business.
