After a week, on the website of Jablíčkára, we are once again bringing you our regular summary of speculations related to the company Apple. This time we will talk about the price and display of the Apple Watch Ultra 2nd generation, about the foldable MacBook and the fact that the iPhone may be able to make it easier for us to count calories in the future.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 price

During the past week, Forbes magazine brought an interesting report regarding the future Apple Watch Ultra 2nd generation. According to this report, the next generation of this smart apple novelty should be equipped with new technology, which will significantly affect the price. Forbes, citing DSCC, states that the second generation Apple Watch Ultra should, among other things, be equipped with a larger microLED display. It is he who should noticeably influence the final price of the watch. Forbes reports that the price of a microLED display could be up to five times that of the LTPO OLED panel found on the current version of the Apple Watch Ultra. The price of the watch could theoretically exceed $799. Of course, microLED technology has many advantages, including significantly better brightness and energy efficiency. So far, it is not very clear when Apple should introduce its Apple Watch Ultra 2. If it really wants to equip it with a microLED display, it is possible that we will not see its arrival until 2025.

The future iPhone as diet police

A rather bizarre, but interesting speculation has appeared in connection with future iPhones. According to a recently registered patent, they could be able to recognize even better what and when their owner eats and provide him with appropriate feedback. This is a patent for technology that allows the iPhone to detect chewing sounds and then prompt the user to record what they are eating. The mentioned patent, which is titled "Augmented Reality Calorie Counter", could theoretically be part of Apple's efforts to expand existing services and functions related to fitness and health. In addition, with the help of augmented reality and other technologies, the iPhone could be able to calculate the approximate size of the portion from the photo and thus better determine the number of calories contained in the photographed food. Of course, the technology also recognizes what food it might be. Let's be surprised if Apple will actually use this patent in practice, and if so, what the final form of this use will be.

Foldable Apple products

Speculations that Apple could launch foldable products continue even years later. They gained momentum again last week when analyst Ross Young stated that the Cupertino company is preparing a 2025″ MacBook Pro with a foldable display for 20.5. On the contrary, rumors that a foldable iPad could be introduced next year have more or less taken hold, and have been denied by Ross Young himself. The truth is that Apple has already been granted patents for a larger laptop with a foldable display in the past - but as we know from practice, patents alone are in no way a guarantee that Apple will actually release even a single foldable product.
