Enticing users to regularly pay for the service has recently been a key task for most large companies. The Swedish Spotify is no exception, which has recently chosen a rather convincing method and is extending its free trial period three times. Users can now test music streaming for three whole months, instead of the original one. The change also applies to the Czech Republic.

Spotify thus jumps on the strategy of Apple, which until now was the only one to offer a free three-month membership with its Apple Music. However, this is quite a logical step, because compared to Spotify, the Californian company does not offer a free membership with ads and a number of other restrictions.

It is precisely because of the above that it is quite surprising that Spotify has decided to offer a three-month trial period again. However, the offer is only valid for those users who have never had a Premium trial membership before. Registration for the service can be done simply on the website spotify.com/cz.

Spotify three months free

Due to the growing subscriber base of Apple Music, Spotify has been trying to recruit more users in all sorts of ways in recent months. For new owners of the Galaxy S10 from Samsung, the company is offering a straight six-month Premium membership for free. Thanks to the cooperation with Google, when customers received a mini subscription to the Google Home speaker for $0,99, Spotify managed to get a record 7 million new subscribers in just six months.

Thanks to marketing campaigns, the Swedish streaming service recently achieved to 108 million subscribers, which is almost twice as much as Apple Music. Spotify totals 232 million, of which 124 million use a free membership with restrictions.
