The weekend is upon us, and that means, among other things, that we once again bring you a brief summary of the events that took place in the field of technology in the past two days. Game studio Konami released a message late last week announcing that it will not be attending the E3 gaming trade show after all, despite first confirming its participation this March. Neuralink co-founder Max Hodak casually announced in one of his tweets that he was leaving the company.

Konami will be absent from E3

Game studio Konami, which is behind titles such as Silent Hill or Metal Gear Solid, has announced that it will not participate in this year's popular E3 gaming fair. This is somewhat surprising news, as Konami was among the first confirmed participants to sign up in March of this year. Studio Konami eventually canceled its participation in the E3 trade fair due to time constraints. Konami has expressed its respect for the organizers of the E3 trade show and pledged its support in just one post on its official Twitter account. In connection with the activities of the game studio Konami, there has been speculation for a long time that players could expect another title from the Silent Hill series. It follows from the above information that, unfortunately, nothing of the sort will happen in the near future. According to Konami, it is currently actively working on several key projects, the final versions of which should see the light of day in the next few months.

Criticism of Roblox over security

Cybersecurity experts warned late last week that the popular online game Roblox contains several security flaws and vulnerabilities that potentially put the sensitive data of more than 100 million players, a large percentage of whom are children, at risk. According to a CyberNews report, Roblox even contains several "glaring security flaws", with the Roblox app for smart mobile devices running the Android operating system being the worst, according to experts. However, a Roblox spokesperson told TechRadar Pro magazine that the game's developers take all reports and reports very seriously, and that everything is subject to immediate investigation. "Our investigation has shown that there is no connection between the statements mentioned and the real privacy of our users at risk," he added. According to a spokesperson, Roblox developers have dealt with a total of four reports of alleged security flaws since March. According to the spokesperson, one of the reports was inaccurate, the other three were related to code that is not used on the Roblox platform.

Max Hodak is leaving Musk's Neuralink

Neuralink's president and co-founder, Max Hodak, posted a tweet on Saturday saying he had left the company. In his post, Hodak did not specify the reasons or circumstances of his departure. “I'm no longer in Neuralink,” he wrote bluntly, adding that he learned a lot from the company he co-founded with Elon Musk and remains a big fan of it. "Up to new things," writes Hodak further in his tweet. The company Neuralink is engaged in the development, research and production of devices to help with the functioning and control of the brain. Musk, Hodak and a handful of other colleagues founded Neuralink in 2016, and Musk invested millions of dollars in the company. At the time of writing, Hodak had not responded to any questions from reporters regarding his departure.
