When you are looking for a power bank that will serve you, for example, on trips, trips or other occasions, you may be interested in three main aspects: quality, size and design. Ideally, you would find a power bank that can charge your device multiple times, both an iPhone and a MacBook. At the same time, it should have high-quality internals in the form of cells and printed circuit boards, which are supposed to prevent a possible short circuit or other problems during charging. And last but not least, you are of course also interested in design, which should be modern, tasteful and, above all, functional. Until recently, of course, you could get such power banks, but for unchristian money. Now Swissten has joined the game, completely changing the rules of power banks.

Technical Specifications

Swissten has a new Black Core extreme power bank in its offer, which will surprise you especially with its capacity - it has an incredible 30.000 mAh. The Swissten Black Core power bank will then surprise you, among other things, with a number of different connectors, thanks to which this power bank will become the only power bank you will ever need. In addition to iPhones, you can also charge the new iPad Pro with a USB-C connector, along with the latest MacBooks, without any problems. I mustn't forget the display, which, in addition to the current charge of the power bank, also shows you the current value of the input or output.

Connectivity and technology

Specifically, the Black Core power bank has Lightning and microUSB input connectors available, the output connectors are then 2x classic USB-A. There must also be a USB-C connector, which is both input and output. The Black Core powerbank also features Power Delivery technology for fast charging of iPhones, together with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 designed for fast charging of Android devices. Of course, you can use all these ports and the connectivity that is available at once.

Packing

Even in this case, the Swissten Black Core power bank fits perfectly into the packaging style in which Swissten packs practically all of its products. Even in this case, we get a stylish black box, on the body of which you will find all the technical specifications regarding the power bank. On the back of the box, there are instructions for proper use together with all the available connectors that we mentioned in the paragraph above. After opening the box, all you have to do is slide out the plastic carrying case, in which the power bank itself is placed together with the rechargeable 20-centimeter microUSB cable. Don't look for anything else in the package - you don't need it anyway.

Processing

If we look at the processing page of the Swissten Black Core 30.000 mAh power bank, I can assure you that you will be pleasantly surprised. The body itself and the main structure is made of plastic, which stands out on the body with its white color. I would consider this white plastic to be a kind of "chassis" of the entire power bank. Of course, there is also plastic on the top and bottom of the power bank, but it has a pleasant texture and feels slightly like leather to the touch. It should be noted that this surface also repels water and is anti-slip at the same time. For each connector, you will then find an image on the body that will tell you exactly what type of connector it is. The power bank is similar in height and length to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, but of course the power bank is worse off in terms of width. Specifically, the power bank is 170 mm in height, 83 mm in length and 23 mm in width. The weight is then almost half a kilo due to the huge capacity.

Personal experience

As soon as I first picked up the power bank, I knew that it would be a real "piece of iron". In the past, I have already tried several power banks from Swissten and I have to say that I like the Black Core series the most. This is partly due to its design, but also partly due to the fact that, together with the iPhone, you can easily charge a MacBook without any problems. And another device on top of that. You might think that charging all the devices at the same time can overload the power bank and also cause significant heating. The maximum power of the power bank is 18W, which must be taken into account. However, even with the maximum load of the power bank, I did not encounter significant heating. The fact that the power bank is slightly warm to the touch is completely normal in my opinion and in this case it was really a slight increase compared to the ambient temperature.

The fact that you can also use the Swissten Black Core power bank as a kind of "signpost" is also great news. More than once, this power bank came in very handy in the car, when I first started charging it from the adapter plugged into the car socket, and then I started charging both my MacBook and iPhone with it. Even in this case, the power bank had no problem at all, although of course there was discharge due to the fact that the adapter in the car was not able to supply enough juice to keep the power bank from discharging. The only thing missing from this power bank to absolute perfection is the possibility of using wireless charging. If wireless charging was also available, I wouldn't have a single complaint.

If you are looking for the perfect power bank that will impress you with its modern design, great quality of the "innards" and, above all, a huge capacity, then you can stop looking. You have just found the perfect candidate who meets all these conditions. The maximum capacity of the Swissten Core power bank is up to 30.000 mAh, thanks to which you can charge your iPhone several times (up to 11 times in the case of the 10 Pro). The battery also has respectable dimensions for its capacity, and there is also a huge number of connectors – from microUSB, to Lightning, to USB-C and USB-A. After several weeks of testing, I can recommend this power bank for traveling, in the car and practically anywhere else where you need a large source of electrical energy.
