On behalf of the entire editorial staff of the Jablíčkář server, we would like to wish our readers a happy (and safe) New Year's Eve and all the best for the new year! A lot has happened in the past year, both in terms of news from the world of Apple and changes on this website. Together, we hope that next year will be a little better than last year, and we wish you the same.

January and February

Before we close out this year, let's recap what Apple has released this year. 2017 was quite rich in new products, although it could have been a little better if there had not been various delays. Not much happened in January, that is, apart from the release of the iOS 10.2.1 update, which seemed rather insignificant at the time. Only now has it been found out that it is from this version Apple started slowing down older iPhones and thus a huge case arose, which appeared at the end of this year and will not just disappear... February was also somewhat insignificant, only belatedly the start of sales of Beats X headphones, which had a W1 chip.

March

Everything important started for Apple only in March. This month, the first conference of the year took place, at which Apple presented a lot of new products. In addition to the Product RED version of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, we also saw an increase in the basic memories of the iPhone S and iPad Mini 4, new color variants of cases and covers for iPhones, along with new wristbands for the Apple Watch. By far the biggest news, however, was the performance of the "new" 9,7″ iPad, which replaced the aging second generation iPad Air. During March he also arrived the new iOS 10.3, which brought many important innovations.

April and May

After the big launch, Apple went quiet again for a while and not much happened for the next two months. April was completely deaf this year, and in May there were several additional updates for the new iOS 10.3 and other systems. It was the typical calm before the storm that was going to be June's WWDC conference.

June

It turned out to be one of the busiest in its history. In addition to the new software that WWDC is primarily focused on, there have also been several product innovations. Apple presented here for the first time HomePod smart speaker (more on him later), just as the first mentions of iMac Pro. A completely new one was revealed here 10,5″ iPad Pro (on which iOS 11 capabilities were demonstrated) and the 12,9″ iPad Pro also received a hardware update. They made their way into MacBook Pros and iMacs new processors from Intel, belonging to the Kaby Lake family, the classic iMacs also got modernized connectivity and slightly better displays. The aging MacBook Air received a small upgrade in the form of an expansion of the base RAM size. Of course, there was a detailed presentation of macOS High Sierra and iOS 11.

July and August

The next two months were again marked by additional software updates and the release of less important products, such as new color variants of the Beats Solo 3 headphones. The entire holiday period was characterized by an extreme amount of various speculations and leaks, leading to the fall keynote and the introduction of new iPhones …

September

This traditionally took place in September and this year for the first time at a place built for this purpose. This year's September keynote was the first event to take place in the Steve Jobs Theatre, inside Apple Park. And there was something to look at. Apple introduced a new one here Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE connectivity, Apple TV 4K with support for 4K resolution and HDR, three new iPhones – iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus a iPhone X and last but not least, the company also released the long-awaited systems iOS 11, MacOS High Sierra and other new versions for other products. New products were also accompanied a huge number of new accessories and accessories. In the final, it was also about music enthusiasts, for whom Apple released new headphones beats studio 3.

October

October was once again marked by additional updates for newly released software and hardware. In the course of October, we saw several iOS updates that resulted in a release iOS 11.1. Along with this update, new versions of watchOS 4.1 and macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 also arrived.

November

The iPhone X went on sale in November, which marked perhaps the most interesting moment of the entire month. The new flagship was basically sold out immediately and waiting periods more than a month long were created within the first day. As we already know today, availability she was improving rapidly and thus reached customers earlier than they could have originally expected. By the end of the month they were availability reports significantly more positive.

December

December is usually a rather quiet month, but this year it is quite the opposite. First, Apple came up with an update iOS 11.2, then started selling the new iMac Pro. We should also have waited for the HomePod speaker, which, however, got a reprieve and according to the latest information, it should be the first product that Apple starts selling next year.

Thank you!

So this year was very busy in terms of new products, but also some controversies. However, next year should not be different, because we already know what we can look forward to. In addition to the usual updates in the form of new iPhones and iPads, the brand new Mac Pro, HomePod, but also the AirPower wireless charging set and much more should arrive. So we thank you once again for the favor you have given us this year and we wish you only the best for the following year!
