Press Release: QNAP today launched a new line of NAS servers TVS-x72XT equipped with 8th generation Intel Core processors with fast 10GBASE-T and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity for demanding applications and smooth 4K video editing in real time. With support for M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs and graphics cards, the TVS-x72XT series allows you to increase performance and create a scalable work environment for collaboration and high-speed file sharing.

"The TVS-x72XT series is equipped with advanced hardware and excellent performance with more 10GBASE-T and Thunderbolt 3 ports for workstations to have high-capacity storage and high data throughput," said David Tsao, Product Manager of QNAP, adding: " The TVS-x72XT series is also an excellent storage base for iMac Pro users, as they can flexibly choose between Thunderbolt 3 and 10GbE connectivity to suit the needs of their applications and devices.”

The TVS-x72XT series includes models with 4, 6 and 8 bays for disk drives and features powerful 8th generation Intel Core processors with AES-NI encryption and Intel UHD Graphics 630, which enables three-channel hardware decoding of 4K H.264 and transcoding in real time. Thanks to the flexible expansion options of this NAS series with PCIe cards, users can install, for example, a basic graphics card to accelerate video processing and accelerate computing power. At the same time, it is possible to use the QNAP QM2 card for M.2 SSD cache, or additional 10GbE (10GBASE-T) connectivity.

The TVS-x72XT has a five-speed 10GBASE-T Multi-Gig port (10G/5G/2,5G/1G/100M) and two Thunderbolt 3 ports, making it an ideal collaborative 4K video editing platform for Mac users even Windows and allows easy sharing of large media files to improve productivity. The TVS-x72XT series also provides an HDMI 2.0 output that supports 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz for applications that require high resolution and realistic colors. The NAS of this series thus enables direct playback of multimedia content on a high-resolution display.

QNAP TVS-872XT:

The TVS-x72XT series supports SSD cache and provides two M.2 SSD slots for installing PCIe (Gen 3 x2) NVMe SSDs with a physical format of 2280 (M.2 SSDs are sold separately) to boost IOPS-intensive applications. Users can also use software SSD over-provisioning (1 to 60%) and get optimal performance and maximum SSD life. In conjunction with technology Qtier with QNAP providing auto-scaling capability to NAS devices, storage efficiency is continuously optimized on M.2 SSD, 2,5″ SSD and large capacity HDD with improved overall system performance and cost savings.

The reliable, scalable TVS-x72XT series is a comprehensive NAS solution for file storage, backup, sharing, synchronization and centralized management. It also provides block protection images, which allows users to effectively mitigate the threat of ransomware, the ability to host a larger number of virtual machines and containerized applications, and the QVRPro for the introduction of a professional, yet affordable video surveillance system (with 8 free IP camera channels and the possibility of expansion up to 128 channels using additional licenses).
