Did you take a beautiful photo with your iPhone and want to print it conveniently and without work, or give it to someone as a gift? If so, Printic is the right choice.
There are many services that offer printing of photos and their subsequent sending to the mailbox. After all, you can also have the photos printed at the machine in the nearest drugstore. However, Printic does not want to compete with that and apparently cannot. However, it brings a different way and its beauty and simplicity will win you over.
There is strength in simplicity. Printic lets you print and send photos from your iPhone to your mailbox. Square images are printed on high-quality, glossy paper in the "Polaroid" format of 8 x 10 cm. And you can do all this using the application, which is free on the App Store.
How does it all work? After launching the application and pressing the Start button, you already select the photos you want to send. You can choose from photos stored directly on your iPhone or on the online services Instagram and Facebook. However, before you can get any further, you will need to register directly with Printic. All you need is an email address or a Facebook account. You fill in your address, country (Czech Republic and Slovakia are supported) and password. The hardest part is probably choosing the best photos. The minimum number per order is 3 photos. You can still cut each of them in the application for a square format and select the number of pieces.
After choosing the photos, you just choose the delivery address. You can either choose a pre-filled one, enter another one manually, or select another one using the contacts in your phone. You can send photos to yourself, a friend, parents, or just about everyone at once. You can also add a short message that will be printed on paper next to the photos.
[do action=”tip”]It is better to enter the address without diacritics, some characters with diacritics were omitted on the envelope (for example “ø”), but fortunately the envelope arrived in good order (“š” and “í” passed through).[/do]
In the next step, the price of the package is calculated. The calculation is not complicated at all - one photo costs 0,79 euros, i.e. approximately 20 crowns. The only condition is to order at least three photos in one shipment. No other fees are charged here, you only pay 0,79 euros for each photo and that's it. The text message is free. After confirmation, just use the secure form to enter your credit card details and pay.
You will shortly receive an email with the invoice. Now all you have to do is wait, the authors promise delivery within 3-5 working days. I will finalize and ship the order on Tuesday, March 19, at 20 p.m. The next day, March 20, at 17 p.m., another email arrives with information that the shipment has been dispatched. On Friday, March 22, I go by the mailbox and there is an envelope with photos already waiting. Print photos in 3 days and deliver them all the way from France? I like it!
The photos will come in an addressed envelope with another envelope inside that is already a beautiful orange (like the app icon). As I already mentioned, the photos have dimensions of 8 x 10 cm, but in reality it is 7,5 x 7,5 cm, the rest is a white frame. The quality of the glossy paper is excellent and the same can be said for the print. The photos (even with filters and adjustments) are really beautiful and nothing is missing. The only downside is visible fingerprints, but that's not surprising for a glossy paper. For printing, I used photos that (for comparison with the printed ones) you can find in my Instagram gallery.
Printic is probably the first application that I recommend to absolutely everyone. He can please absolutely anyone. If you want to immortalize your moments in a less traditional format with quality printing or make someone close to you happy, definitely give Printica a chance. If you don't want to send dozens and hundreds of photos, the 20 crowns per photo won't break the bank. Whether for personal use or as a gift, Printic is simply great. Yes, you can run to a photo lab with your photos, or print them at home, but… this is Printic!

Twenty for one photo - usury!!!
In three.
You probably misunderstood, one photo costs 20 crowns, but the minimum order is 3 photos, for which you pay 60 crowns :)
So I don't know, I selected three, sent and it said €1.19, deducted 32CZK, via PayPal. So I don't understand.
No matter what I do, it always says €2,37 :) You probably still managed the "first order for half" promotion :)
In your pictures in the article, there is also 2€ for 6 pictures.
Well, that's probably only within the first order. Another has already charged it correctly. €0,79 per piece.
I can't launch the application at all (iPhone 4, iPad 2). I've already written to them and they say there are two of us :) So I'm trying Polagram Plus - they charge 2,50 for postage, but the photo is half price, so it's even cheaper from 7 photos up.
That's a shame, maybe another update. Even deleting and reinstalling doesn't help?
Otherwise, from what you write, it seems to me that Printic is better than Polagram for donating photos, etc., which I also write in the article. For personal use and a larger number of photos, maybe the Polagram+ I'm looking at will be better, thanks :)
Tried reinstalling, resetting devices, no luck. The icon doesn't even manage to enlarge to full screen and it crashes without any notification.
Of course, it would mean comparing the quality of paper and printing. Polagram+ makes a larger size of 10x10cm and for the same price can also do 10x13.
Can each of the three photos be sent to a separate address? Thanks!
Unfortunately. The address(es) is always selected only for the selected package of three or more photos. It's probably because of the cost of postage, which probably wouldn't be worth it for one photo.
"After confirmation, just use the secure form to enter your credit card details and pay."
That would be my biggest fear, how do you know it's a safe form? After all, it's just a page in the application where you enter all the card data. Where is the certainty that the authors do not save this data in some way and then someone siphons money from your card in the future? A better solution would be to charge a virtual wallet via in-app purchase, where it would be taken from, but then the authors would have to share 30% of the profit with Apple...
I understand, I would also prefer In-App purchase, but as you say, then they would have to give 30% to Apple and thus they would definitely have to raise the prices. Otherwise, the form is through third-party services, so actually like any other payment on the Internet. You can learn more at http://printicapp.com/ all the way down.
Well, of course, but the application itself collects the card data and then forwards it to a third party, so unfortunately there is a significant security risk, because of this I canceled the order and deleted the application, I do not intend to use it under these conditions.
Hello Milan.
I am Flo, co-founder.
I read your message using Google Translate so maybe I understood some things wrong but it seems that you worry about the payment method.
First of all, we just can't use the in-app purchase for that kind of apps. Yes it would mean an increase in price, but more than everything, Apple does not allow people to sell physical goods through the in-app payment system.
Printic is using a very famous and secure payment system provider (Adyen) which obviously respects all the security and confidentiality rules. There is absolutely no reason to worry about the payment.
Best,
F
Thanks fo r reply, is it possible to get option to pay via Paypal and open web browser with PayPal page with the predefined payment attributes? Many e-shops and other services (Steam, Dealextreme etc) did it the same way, it is most secure.
You can pay by PAYPAL.
I want it I want it I WANT IT! :))
On iOS5, the application crashes. After updating to iOS6, fine.
I can't get to the final state at all, when I want to order it, it stops and tells me that an error has occurred somewhere. Does anyone have any experience with this please?
The Bypost app is much better
