Ondrej Holzman PQI brand power bank we are not presenting for the first time. However, now we tried a completely different caliber – PQI i-Power with a giant capacity of 15 milliamp hours, which means only one thing: multiple charging of not only your iPhone, but also your iPad.
What usually sets so-called power banks apart the most is their capacity. With its i-Power 15000mAh model, PQI targets the most demanding users who cannot allow their devices to run out of power and need to always have a reliable and sufficient power source at hand. The advantage of this external battery is also in the dual USB port with a total output of 3,1 A. This means that you can charge both iPhone and iPad at the same time without any problems.
Although it is a powerbank with a high capacity, the PQI still maintains relatively pleasant dimensions and the i-Power 15000mAh can definitely serve as a handy external battery for any occasion. Due to its dimensions, it can fit into many pockets, although with a weight of 305 grams, it is usually better to place it in a bag or backpack.
In elegant black, or white design the largest capacity power bank from PQI has only the necessary controls and outputs. On the front side, we find the on/off button and four LEDs indicating the battery charge status. At the top, there are two side-by-side USB ports with 2,1- and 1-amp output, respectively. The third socket is the microUSB input used to charge the power bank. The package therefore includes a USB-microUSB cable, which can be used both for recharging the battery and for charging devices with microUSB connectors. A Lightning cable for iPhones and iPads is required.
Charges iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air
The already mentioned huge capacity of the power bank means that, unlike other, smaller external batteries, it can charge any iOS device that is currently on sale. If we calculate that we will always connect only one device to the PQI i-Power 15000mAh and charge it until the power bank has the last remaining energy in it, we will get the following charge numbers:

The number of charges will naturally decrease if you have two devices connected to the power bank at the same time. However, it is nice that, if necessary, the PQI i-Power 15000mAh can charge even the iPad Air at least once, which has by far the largest battery of all iOS devices, and most powerbanks are not enough for it.
In addition to the battery capacity, it is also good to monitor which output you are connecting the iOS device to. While iPhones up to the 5S model could only take a maximum of 5 watts, so it didn't matter if you charged them with a 1 or 2,1 amp output adapter, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus can already charge faster if you use a more powerful charger from iPad (2,1A/12W), or in the case of PQI i-Power 15000mAh USB with 2,1A output. As a result, this means that if you connect an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus to the 2,1A output, it will charge faster. In the case of the iPad, the 2,1A output should be used in particular.
For charging itself, it is important to always check whether your powerbank is switched on and charged (ie at least one diode is lit), because otherwise the device connection will not charge. However, the PQI i-Power 15000mAh always activates itself when you connect the cable to it, so it is not necessary to press the power button every time. This is only if you change devices and leave the cable in the power bank plugged in.
The smaller price we have to pay for the fact that the PQI i-Power 15000mAh can charge, for example, the new iPhone 6 more than five times, we have to pay for recharging the external batteries themselves, which of course will not take about two hours as with iPhones. Usually, however, it should be enough to connect the i-Power 15000mAh to the mains for the night and you can get back into action with a charged box. For 1 crowns in view of the above-mentioned number of charges for your devices, this is a rather interesting purchase, and especially those who often find themselves for a long time without the possibility of "sticking their iPhone into the wall" will welcome the giant capacity.
