Kantar today released the latest data, focusing on the market share of the most popular mobile platforms, across the world's largest markets. These surveys appear every quarter, giving readers a fairly clear idea of ​​how their favorite mobile platform is doing across global markets. Kantar focuses primarily on the US, China, Japan, Australia and the five largest European markets, which include the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

According to these figures, Apple has done relatively well in the US, where the company has achieved a year-on-year increase of 3,7% and iOS currently occupies 35% of the market, compared to Android, which occupies 63,2% of the market for itself and is up by less than 3% year-on-year % failed. A similar trend can also be traced in China, where Apple grew by 4,3% at the expense of Android (-4%). Apple also performed well in Germany (+2,3%), France (+1,7%), Spain (+4,4%), Australia (+0,9%) and Italy (+0,4%) .

On the contrary, Apple recorded not very positive results regarding the sale of iPhones in Great Britain, where the iOS platform fell by two percentage points year-on-year. Windows Mobile, which has been dying for several long months, had a tragic outcome in all monitored markets. A few days ago even acknowledged even the director of their own mobile division. Regarding the statistics mentioned above, it should be noted that these are data from before the introduction of the new iPhone 8 and iPhone X. It can be expected that the sales of iPhones will improve even more in the coming months.
