Ondrej Holzman Today, in a press release on the occasion of the announcement of financial results for the third quarter of this year, Apple revealed when the expected OS X Mountain Lion will be released. The new operating system will be available from July 25, for download in the Mac App Store for $19,99.
The Mountain Lion will sell for ten dollars less than its predecessor, the Lion. Users will be able to purchase Mac OS 10.8 through the Mac App Store and then install it on a total of five computers. Both Lion and Snow Leopard users can update.
OS X Mountain Lion includes over 200 new features including Notification Center, Game Center, AirPlay Mirroring, Facebook and Twitter integration, etc.
It should be added that the Facebook integration will not arrive until the fall together with iOS6.

Yes, Ksichtbook these days are just companies collecting information about customers and girls' blogs, they can keep that to themselves. The file should have integrated the services of the competition - Google. Picasa, Google+ and so on. not some Flickr and Ksichtbook :-(
Flickr is great, Google+ is probably difficult :D they are competitors and Apple is getting rid of Google, let alone integrating their social network... In any case, the non-integration of Facebook doesn't bother me, so that's fine ;)

The AppStore does not accept gift codes or Gift apps. I also wanted to give the game as a present :-( It's great in iTunes, it even generates a nice birthday card in the Appstore...

I thought...that there would be a procedure to create a flash installation somewhere...then you can get 10.8 on as many computers as you want. But on the other hand... the transition from 10.6 to 10.7 was very specific... it is possible that this year it won't work... we'll see.
I'm a bit confused about the supported models. I have an old type macbook air 1,6GHz intel core 2 duo ... 2GB 667 MHz ddr2 sdram ... intel gma x3100 144mb ... could someone advise me if it will work?
The key is how old the MBA is. If you have a Late 2008 model or newer, then you're out of the water.

Yes, the Original MBA is Early 2008, the only Air that will not run OS X 10.8.

If I'm not mistaken, the oldest Air is late2008, so ML should run on any existing MBA. So I wouldn't worry about the Airs whether ML will run there or not.

I am running developer preview on the same version, so I can confirm that it is yes... otherwise, I recommend replacing the SSD disk and CD drive with a second data disk... I am not afraid to say that the speed of the entire system has doubled
There is an apple icon on the top left of the bar, click on it and select "About this MacBook" then "More information" and you will get to the internal designation such as Mid 2011 or Late 2010 etc. According to that you will then find if your MB will be supported or No.
Forgive me for asking a lame question - will my installed applications, documents, etc. remain after the update, or will I have a completely clean MAC?
you will be left with absolutely everything... you would only have to do a clean install to lose everything...
I would make a backup just in case, but my experience of installing Lion is that only the system update takes place, so the documents and applications remain, including the settings.

I didn't watch it either...I GMed the me version a long time ago. I'm just curious...if they were overwhelmed like last year...a friend downloaded it for maybe 4 hours and now he told me that he had to start the download several times :o)
I'm afraid that the congestion will be the same this year, as with iOS... despite the huge data centers Apple has, there is a huge interest ;) on the other hand, it's good, what other company manages to be updated like this? ? Answer: NONE... Otherwise, another problem is that we have to suck it all the way from the US, which is quite a problem considering the intercontinental line. It's not exactly first class ;), for example Facebook also has European data centers, so it's fine. Apple should perhaps consider expanding to Europe with data centers, a small one would be enough if it uploaded a duplicate of the content of iTunes Stores, AppStores, etc., so that all today's very slow communications (especially from our point of view) would be significantly faster, even downloading applications itself is sometimes brutus, it's because it's all flown from the US, and moreover from fairly tightly loaded data centers. are you sure about this? It seems to me that the App Store suddenly runs much better... even in iTunes. As if Apple somehow strengthened it. Everything starts up as if it didn't even start from the net... there is a micro-delay there... most likely the peak preparation...
