Ochrana soukromí a bezpečnost osobních dat jsou pro uživatele komunikačních aplikací stále důležitější

Press Release: Viber, one of the leading communication apps in the world, conducted a survey among its users to find out what is important to them in digital communication. It took place within the official framework Viber Czech Republic community, která má vice než 92 tisíc uživatelů.

Odpovědi více než 2 200 respondentů ukázaly dva jasné trendy. Pro uživatele v České republice, podobně jako v dalších zemích, které se ankety zúčastnily, je ochrana soukromí a bezpečnost jejich dat při používání komunikačních aplikací, sociálních médií a internetu obecně, stále důležitější. Potvrdilo to 56 % respondentů. Anketa také ukázala, že textové zprávy jsou hlavním způsobem komunikace pro 68 % respondentů, což odpovídá globálnímu trendu upřednostňování psané komunikace nad verbální.

Výsledky jsou součástí regionální ankety, kterou Viber zorganizoval v osmi zemích střední a východní Evropy a které se zúčastnilo přes 100 000 uživatelů aplikace. Výsledky na regionální úrovni potvrdily podobný trend ve vztahu k ochraně soukromí a bezpečnosti dat uživatelů, kdy je za nejdůležitější element považuje 70 % ze všech účastníků ankety. Textování se stalo nejpopulárnější formou komunikace ve všech zemích, které zahrnují kromě České republiky také Slovensko, Bulharsko, Chorvatsko, Maďarsko, Řecko, Slovinsko a Srbsko.

Viber také žádné informace neukládá na svých servrech, jakmile jsou doručeny adresátům.

In addition to the protection of security and privacy, the fact that the application offers many options to make chats more dynamic, fun and personal is also important for Czech users of the Viber application. They also appreciate practical features like the ability to delete, edit or translate their conversations. Continuous improvement of the application is another top priority for Viber, in addition to the protection and security of user data.

As already mentioned, 68% of survey respondents identified texting as their main method of communication. 21% of them like stickers the most, because according to them they can best capture emotions and feelings. This was also confirmed by participants in other countries. Viber often localizes the stickers, making them relevant to how people in that country communicate with each other.
