During the weekend, the long-awaited iMac Pro, which Apple presented at this year's WWDC conference, was shown to the public for the first time. Apple demonstrated the iMac Pro during their FCPX Creative Summit this weekend, where visitors were able to touch and thoroughly test it. The new super-powerful workstation from Apple should arrive in stores this December for astronomical sums.

According to visitors, Apple allowed them to take photos of the black iMac. That's why several of them appeared on the website after the weekend. This black (actually Space Grey) iMac Pro will offer the same design as the current version, but no stone will be left unturned inside. Due to the presence of powerful components, the entire internal component storage system needed to be redesigned, as well as the cooling capabilities to be significantly increased.

As for the hardware itself, the iMac Pro will be available in several levels of configuration. The highest one will offer up to 18-core Intel Xeon, AMD Vega 64 graphics card, 4TB NVMe SSD and up to 128GB ECC RAM. Prices for these workstations start at five thousand dollars. In addition to powerful hardware, future owners can also look forward to top-notch connectivity provided by four Thunderbolt 3 ports. A big attraction can also be the new color design, which also applies to the supplied keyboard and Magic Mouse.

The Final Cut Pro X Summit, during which this iMac was on display, is a special event organized by Future Media Concepts. During it, it is possible to test the functioning of the professional software Final Cut Pro X. As part of this event, Apple also introduced a new version of this popular editing program, which is labeled 10.4 and will be available by the end of the year. The new version will offer expanded tool options, support for HEVC, VR and HDR.
