During the weekend, the long-awaited iMac Pro, which Apple presented at this year's WWDC conference, was shown to the public for the first time. Apple demonstrated the iMac Pro during their FCPX Creative Summit this weekend, where visitors were able to touch and thoroughly test it. The new super-powerful workstation from Apple should arrive in stores this December for astronomical sums.
According to visitors, Apple allowed them to take photos of the black iMac. That's why several of them appeared on the website after the weekend. This black (actually Space Grey) iMac Pro will offer the same design as the current version, but no stone will be left unturned inside. Due to the presence of powerful components, the entire internal component storage system needed to be redesigned, as well as the cooling capabilities to be significantly increased.
As for the hardware itself, the iMac Pro will be available in several levels of configuration. The highest one will offer up to 18-core Intel Xeon, AMD Vega 64 graphics card, 4TB NVMe SSD and up to 128GB ECC RAM. Prices for these workstations start at five thousand dollars. In addition to powerful hardware, future owners can also look forward to top-notch connectivity provided by four Thunderbolt 3 ports. A big attraction can also be the new color design, which also applies to the supplied keyboard and Magic Mouse.
The Final Cut Pro X Summit, during which this iMac was on display, is a special event organized by Future Media Concepts. During it, it is possible to test the functioning of the professional software Final Cut Pro X. As part of this event, Apple also introduced a new version of this popular editing program, which is labeled 10.4 and will be available by the end of the year. The new version will offer expanded tool options, support for HEVC, VR and HDR.

well, apple of course with a dash of fun, as a properly innovative company, it still doesn't even offer what you can buy in Algae for a fraction of the price a few months ago (or better, if you want up to 3 graphics in one machine, and a better monitor than the Sunt what does apple offer)
of course, it runs Windows 10, the world's most popular operating system with support for the latest games, which people like to play sometimes, if they have the power :)
Well, it's good that you discovered Alza at all
that I'm so bold, could you please post a link where I can buy the same configuration for half the price? Thank you…
It always depends on the point of view. :) Of course, a similar configuration can be put together in a PC for 50%, don't you think so? And over time you can buy anything you want. It won't look pretty, but if your Imac's monitor breaks, will you be without a computer for a month? I wouldn't want the VEGA crap in the Imac, but I need an NV 1080Ti. I wouldn't buy an overpriced XEON, but an AMD Threadripper 1950X 16c/32T for 25 CZK, etc., etc. We can continue. In the end, it won't cost 000 CZK, but only 250, and who cares. The Imac is a hot piece of crap, I have it at home, the CPU temperature is still around 000 degrees and the Imac is humming like a bitch and I'm not doing anything difficult. I don't understand how the ImacPRO can cool the VEGA heater that consumes 80-000W. :)
j amd threadripper 25k, board 7k, 128 ramka 35k, 1tb M2 3200/1900MB/s SSDcko 13k, source and cabinet 5k. a total of 85 thousand. it does not include the graphics and monitor, which are according to personal preferences. otherwise, it is the equivalent of the top configuration that Apple will offer. Of course, we don't know how much yet, and we'll have to wait for the next article until it's finally published :D but then we'll compare it and continue the discussion (however, who wouldn't want to wait for the miracle of computing technology from the most innovative company in the world, and you wanted it buy it now, so you have the items in stock in the store :D
I honestly don't understand why they don't do something like the Pro 2013 bin, where one can add any components? So what was going on in Prock? Of course, this is not in Apple's interest, because you refer to the fact that you have to buy 200% overpriced components, which can be bought easily in a store.
the dustbin also overheated, because if you have one, it's too bad, and if a person were to throw components a couple of degrees warmer into it, which it is no longer designed for, the whole thing would burn :D
driv used to give good things to the cat, but now they're just putting a lot of pressure on visual design, they're not interested in how it's used, just how it looks. I don't understand at all people who buy a computer with a fixed, non-positionable display. this is incomprehensible to me, especially from a company that presented itself as premium...
well, I'm looking forward to CES, for mobile AMD chips, before that it has a consumption of 15W, in combination with new 3D SSDs, and an integrated gpu on those amd chips (it's the equivalent of nvidia), this could lead to nice new cheap lenovo boards , hp, dell ultra small factor desktop for the office, and finally the uglies that are there today would disappear :) (that is, not that they could not be bought today, but with a large quantity it will be expensive)
2 par. I agree with that
I don't see you and I looked for those components in Alga and it sounded the same to me if I bought what Apple has there, it's not significantly cheap, so it's not even in the case of win.
I'm also interested in how I want to cool it down, I'll wait for the first tests.
