Apple yesterday a year after the launch introduced the second generation 12-inch MacBook, which boasts in particular that it has faster internals and also lasts a little longer on the battery. In terms of performance, Apple's thinnest computer is better by more than 15 percent.
On Twitter she shared o the first results from Geekbench Christina Warren, where it turned out that the new MacBooks are faster by 15 to 18 percent compared to their predecessors. The 1,2 GHz configuration was tested and these results confirmed also Primate Labs founder John Poole based on 32-bit Geekbench 3 results.
The SSDs in the new MacBooks have also received significant improvements. The first tests through BlackMagic showed that writing is up to more than 80 percent faster, and reading was also slightly faster.
Apple boasts that the second-generation 12-inch MacBook can last an extra hour without power. This was achieved not only thanks to more economical Skylake processors, but also thanks to a larger battery. The first MacBook had a battery with a capacity of 39,7 watt hours, the new ones have 41,4 watt hours.
According to Apple, the MacBook can now last 10 hours when browsing the web, 11 hours when playing a movie and up to 30 days of inactivity.
Many users will certainly be interested in the option of equipping the MacBook with a faster dual-core 1,3GHz Core m7 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3,1GHz). This improvement is possible for both models: the 256GB MacBook costs 8 crowns, for double the capacity you pay an additional 4 crowns.
The most powerful 12-inch MacBook with 512GB storage is therefore on sale for 52 crowns. You can now also choose it in rose gold color
It's supposed to be a small communication center?,[ because it's worthless as a computer] so why did they leave a 480p FaceTime camera there which looks disastrous with the display quality
Because they are uneaten until it hurts. :D
Hello. I know my question is off topic but I need some advice. I'm completely switching from Windows to Apple and as an entrepreneur I'm wondering what machine I should get to run an online store. I don't really think an iPad would be enough for me, but it's hard to tell. I assume you will recommend me some macbook. Then there is the question of the performance of the individual machine. The new macbook seems like an overpriced paperweight to me in terms of price/performance. Thanks
