We recently informed you about the websites of the government and several ministries, where you can directly follow information about the state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic. Czech mobile operators through APMS (Association of Mobile Network Operators) implemented an initiative that makes viewing these pages free of charge and will not count towards users' tariff data.

O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone have also contributed to better user awareness by giving all customers free access to the site www.vlada.cz a www.mzcr.cz. And that includes the information that is on the subpages. The measure does not only apply to videos that are also available on these sites. These will be calculated for users in the classic way.

Free access also applies to virtual operators who use the mobile networks of O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone and people who, for example, have already used up their data package. "Considering that the introduction of zero-rating of certain sites violates the rules of net neutrality, APMS prepared this solution in cooperation with the regulator ČTÚ, which supported our initiative," says Jiří Grund, executive director of APMS.

It is not the only initiative that operators have recently offered to people. Each offers special benefits and promotions. Whether it is an increase in data packages, free calls to relatives or a special offer of TV content.
