Microsoft rather suddenly and unexpectedly launched its office suite Office in the iPhone version in the App Store. The mobile version of Office can be downloaded for free, but so far only in the US section of the App Store and, moreover, only for subscribers to the "Office 365" program.
Official App Description:
Microsoft Office Mobile is Microsoft's official office suite, optimized for the iPhone. It enables access, viewing and editing of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint documents anywhere and from anywhere.
Thanks to the support of advanced features including graphs, animations, SmartArt graphics, and geometric shapes, documents created on the iPhone look practically identical to the desktop version of this office software.
Key Features:
- Cloud - you can use your phone to access Office documents stored using SkyDrive, SkyDrive Pro or SharePoint web storage.
- Recent documents - Office Mobile works with cloud storage - documents that were last viewed on the computer are also displayed on the phone in the appropriate panel.
- E-mail attachments – it is possible to view and edit documents that are attached to e-mails.
- Great looking documents - documents such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint look really great thanks to support for graphs, animations, SmartArt graphics and geometric shapes.
- Optimized for the phone - all documents are adapted to the small screen of the phone.
- Resume function – when opening a Word document from SkyDrive or SkyDrive Pro, the position at which the user finished reading or editing on another device (PC/tablet) is automatically loaded.
- Preview option for presentations.
- Editing – the ability to quickly edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
- Formatting preservation – When editing a document on iOS, the format of the content remains unchanged.
- Offline editing - no constant internet connection required. Changes made to documents stored in the cloud will be reflected immediately after the next connection to the network.
- Creation - it is possible to create Word and Excel documents directly on the phone.
- Comments - you can view comments on the document created on the PC and create new ones directly on the phone.
- Sharing – the ability to send documents by email or save them to SkyDrive and SharePoint.

We were told by the Czech representative office of Microsoft that Office 365 for iPhone will appear in other markets, including the Czech Republic, during the next week. We don't have any information about the tablet version yet.

Hmm, it will certainly be a very sophisticated matter when MS can't even optimize the script for diacritics on its pages - see picture.
No, I don't want another ugh :(
THAT is a really outrageous piece of shit.. I don't understand.. I really don't understand how Microsoft can always screw it up like that... oh yeah. I've been rooting for him for a long time. They lost me as a user a long time ago. I don't want anything but MacOS/iOS, my choice.
What bothers me about MS is not only the stupid writing, reminiscent of the last century, but also the fact that it treats its products in the same way. Anything from MS is unfinished, unrefined - and updates only contribute to greater confusion and slowdown.
I have to use Outlook 2011 at work, and it's like going back in time like 10 years :(
Just a little thing. I would change the icon in the title of the article to the office 365 icon.
For the iPad I would understand…
Awesome!! And let the windows data go to the iPhone and I will be satisfied. Super device super os and that's it!
Haha
So it's clear that after what they saw at WWDC, how Apple messed up the office package, they got confused and suddenly let it out :) Great job Apple. I laugh as it usually sucks for viewers. There is a bit, but it hampers the commitment to more formats and hopefully they have nailed the formatting of MS documents. Holt has to push the saw here.
I can assure you that Office for iPhone was already being worked on before WWDC :) I've known about it for at least a year
Better than a wire in the eye. The fact that I will be able to easily edit word documents is nice. But it will only make sense on the iPad. iWork has a major disadvantage in that it cannot work with comments on Word documents - that is, on iOS, adult iWork can do it. But what I fundamentally miss is OneNote. It's on iOS, but it's not good. He can do a fifth of what an adult does and is not integrated into the entire office 365 ecosystem. :( Anyone who likes this tool knows that EverNote is a child's toy and overpriced too....
It is already on the CZ Store
