Volkswagen is deepening its ties with Apple. Their VW Car-Net app has received an update in recent days, which brings a whole host of new features, including expanded options in the field of voice control and the Siri assistant.

Users with an adequate car can now, for example, unlock and lock their car through the application in combination with the Siri assistant. Siri is now also able to provide them with a whole range of information, including, for example, the state of the car's tank, the estimated range, whether the alarm has been turned on or off, or the battery charge level in the case of a hybrid/electric car.

Other useful functions that are now possible include, for example, scheduling electric car charging or remote heating/warming up the car before driving. In this regard, users can set a specific temperature to which they want to heat the car. In combination with GPS, the application also provides users with the function of finding a car. There are also standard options for navigation and route planning.

If you like the VW Car-Net application, there are several conditions for acquiring it. First of all, you must have a car with adequate infotainment (all new models from MY 2018), which supports cooperation with the application. Secondly, you have to pay for the application, as it works on the basis of a monthly subscription.

Due to the above functions, the use of Siri Shortcuts is directly offered, thanks to which users will be able to automate selected processes, or their daily routine.
