One of many news on the new MacBook Pro models that Apple last week introduced, there is also an improved keyboard of the third generation. According to Apple and the first reviewers, the new keyboard is quieter. However, users were much more concerned with the question of whether Apple, together with the arrival of the new generation, managed to eliminate the main ailment of the keyboard, specifically the keys getting stuck. It seems we finally know the answer to that question.

Experts from iFixit because over the weekend they disassembled the new MacBook Pro model down to the last screw. During a detailed examination of the third generation of the keyboard, they discovered that there is a new silicone membrane under each key, which has only one task – to prevent the ingress of dust and other unwanted impurities, so that the butterfly mechanism works exactly as Apple designed it.

The reduced keyboard noise highlighted by Apple is thus only a kind of side effect of the membrane. However, this is a welcome benefit that many users will certainly welcome. After all, Apple has often been criticized for the keyboard noise in the Retina MacBooks and MacBook Pros. If you type in a quiet environment, typing on a keyboard with a butterfly mechanism can be disturbing for some.

The fact that it was possible to kill two birds with one stone in a relatively easy way will be welcomed not only by customers, but also by Apple itself. He was forced recently run the program, when it offers MacBook (Pro) owners a free keyboard replacement. It's just a pity that Apple will not replace the old generation with a new one for users, which was confirmed by the server's sources MacRumors. So the company had to come up with an unspecified solution to at least partially solve the problem with the keys getting stuck in the second generation keyboard. Otherwise, Apple would risk having MacBook Pros constantly returned to it from customers for replacement.
