Apple quietly unveiled the updated MacBook Pro (2018) today. The new 13″ and 15″ models with Touch Bar and Touch ID, which now boast 8th generation Intel Core processors, up to 32GB of RAM, a third generation keyboard with a wing mechanism, up to 4TB SSD, a display with True Tone technology and a chip Apple T2. The variant without Touch Bar remained unchanged.
The prices of the new models start at CZK 13 for the 55-inch variant with Touch Bar. The highest possible amount can be spent on a 990-inch model, the price of which, thanks to 15GB of RAM and a 32TB SSD, can go up to CZK 4. Compared to the basic 211 GB, an additional 590 crowns are paid for the highest possible storage capacity, and 512 crowns for an additional 102 GB of operating memory. The new models should be available from July 400 to 16, and the largest domestic e-shop already has them on offer Alza.cz
Potential buyers of the 13″ MacBook Pro will surely be pleased that all models with Touch Bar now offer a quad-core processor, either an Intel Core i5 with a core clock of 2,3 GHz, or a Core i7 with a clock of 2,7 GHz – graphics chip The Intel Iris Plus 655 is the same. There is also a True Tone display, an Apple T2 chip for the Hey Siri function and increased security, and the third-generation keyboard with a butterfly mechanism, which is slightly quieter. Compared to the 15″ model, the smaller MacBook Pro has a maximum SSD capacity (2 TB vs. 4 TB) and the highest possible RAM size (16 GB vs. 32 GB), and of course the Radeon Pro graphics card remains exclusive to the 15″ MacBook Pro.
New 13″ MacBook Pro (2018):
- Eighth generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 quad-core processor with Turbo Boost up to 4,5 GHz
- Intel Iris Plus 655 integrated graphics processor with 128 MB of eDRAM memory

- Display with True Tone technology
- Apple T2 chip (for Hey Siri and more)
- 3rd generation keyboard with wing mechanism

Poor offer at outrageous prices. Does Apple want to bury the Mac? Those prices would be outrageous even if they were a quarter smaller... Do you want the most common 15″ size? so prepare 86 (for today's ridiculous, non-replaceable 990GB SSD I'm skipping)
Well, rather the course. $2800 is 87000 CZK? Even if I include VAT, the price should be somewhere around 70k.
Otherwise, for $2800, there is a 512GB SSD in the base...
It's a lot of money, but we all know that. Compared to a similar Dell XPS setup, we are about +50% of the price. But this is unnecessary fuss, so it just is and will be. But I'm trying to find a way to get it cheaper. ?? The update pulled the thorn out of my heel just in time, because there is an apple laptop that can do 4k video editing without any problems, where I can also have Windows for occasional use btw. After 7 years with Air and with the need for new 4k video work, I have come to terms with the purchase of an iMac Pro and thus pinning myself and all my work to the table, without mobility and even with a mega-model, which in the final is again slower for single core processes. So for me, a big "hooray" for the new MBPs. ??
Price: When ordering through the official Czech Apple website for your company, you will receive a 6% discount on purchases over 100. The discount may vary depending on the type of product and the order size, but you will probably always get something if the spending is over 100k. Just call them, set up a business account with them and pay by card (probably over the phone). No other form of payment is possible. I also came across a discussion about a more or less important check for orders in the framework of BackToSchool and the student Pro Bundle application.
The annoying thing is that for 100k you will only get 1 year warranty. The prices for post-warranty repairs are not exactly the cheapest.
Noťasy beautiful. I wouldn't mind the price. It's a working machine. In the areas for which it is intended (3D modeling, video editing, music, etc.), the prices of work are such that it can easily pay for itself. For me, it's a shame that Apple doesn't make something less powerful and cheaper, but 15 inches. 15 inches is just right for me, but I would prefer less power. Max price 50. I don't like smaller stretchers. It's all snarky. I don't deal with mobility. I'm driving a car and I can carry a bag with a briefcase. Otherwise, it's nice that there is finally an option for 32GB of RAM, but I could imagine 64GB with such a bloated machine. When the possibility of a 4TB SSD is completely incomprehensible to me, I could imagine more real benefits of 64GB RAM.
Hello, I'm going to buy a 7 and I would like advice if it's better to invest in a frame increase or an iXNUMX, I don't have the funds for both :D Also, what is the difference between these !upgrades" in practice, please?
thanks a lot in advance :)
