If you are among the fans of the American rapper Kanye West, you probably noticed the case that took place two years ago in connection with his then new album called The Life of Pablo. West then decided to boycott the streaming platform Apple Music and did not release his new album there. However, it appeared on all other major platforms, whether it was Spotify or Tidal. Now it looks like West has changed his mind and his new single, which arrives today, will appear on Apple Music.

In 2016, there was quite a big halo around West's 'Apple Music Boycott'. At first it looked like West had simply decided to boycott Apple's streaming service (for some reason). It was later revealed that this was a condition of an exclusive deal he had with the streaming service Tidal at the time, which had exclusive rights to The Life of Pablo album (for the first two months after its release). However, the entire exclusivity with Tidal turned into a fiasco, and the presence of the news on Apple Music is therefore not a surprise.

West is still at loggerheads with Tidal and its owner in the form of rapper Jay-Z, as the service is said to owe West more than three million dollars. The three million is part of a bundle of money that Tidal owes a larger number of authors and publishers. As we wrote a few weeks ago, the company is not doing very well financially, and this is one of the examples of how it manifests itself in practice. Even on the basis of these problems, West terminated his contract with Tidal, and his latest album, which is released today, you will be able to listen to from the first moment on Apple Music (along with Spotify and other services).
