The Kickstarter hit, the DarkHeat jacket is made from 4-way stretch waterproof fabric, you can wear it year-round, it looks good, it feels good, and it has lots of pockets. Maybe even on a MacBook or AirPods.

Ditch your backpacks and travel light with just a jacket. At least that's what the crowdfunding Kickstarter campaign claims, which had the goal of raising at least $14 for production, but now has over $660 on its account. Why? Because it is truly original.

Water resistance, breathability, variability

So first of all – the jacket is made of stretch material that stretches in all four directions. This is to ensure not only its comfort, but also its durability. Water resistance also contributes to this, with a water column of 20 mm and 000 g of breathability. With the option to unzip the bottom, it is suitable for all four seasons, as well as for sports, business meetings, travel and any other leisure activities.

Yes, of course the materials used are one thing, but the 14 pockets that the jacket has are certainly what most fans were interested in. These are spread throughout the space and come in different sizes for the different things you need to carry in them. Glasses, gloves, wallet - this probably won't surprise anyone. But a pocket for AirPods, an iPad or even a MacBook, that's another league.

What you put where is of course up to you, but the manufacturer directly demonstrates its jacket with AirPods in the front covered pocket and by inserting a MacBook in the back pocket. There is a hidden space on the back, which is ideal for hiding a MacBook. Although the manufacturer mentions how comfortable the jacket is, it prefers not to mention how it is worn under "full" load.

The price of the DarkHeat jacket is $22 (approx. CZK 179) as part of the campaign, which runs until Wednesday, June 4. However, the recommended price is significantly higher, namely 200 dollars (approx. 335 CZK). Discounts are also available for versions with a hood or orders of multiple pieces. So if you want to say goodbye to backpacks and other bags, you can still boldly campaign to support. The finished jackets should start shipping to their new owners in September of this year.
