In the current iPhone 15 lineup, there is one model that is more equipped than others. In recent years, Apple has always presented us with two models with the nickname Pro, which differed only in the size of the display and the battery capacity. This year is different, and that's the reason why you simply want the iPhone 15 Pro Max more than any other iPhone.

iPhone 15 Pro came with many new features. Compared to the basic series, they have, for example, a frame made of titanium and an Action button. You may feel less of the titanium, although it is reflected in the lower weight of the device, which is definitely nice. You'll probably like the Actions button, but you can live without it - especially if you replace its options with a tap on the back of the iPhone.

But then there is the telephoto lens. Just for the telephoto lens alone, I wouldn't consider getting a base model iPhone that only offers an ultra-wide-angle and a main camera that does offer 15x zoom in the iPhone 2 models, but that's just not enough. 3x is still the standard, but if you try something more, you'll easily fall in love with it. So I definitely fell in love with it. Half of the photos in my gallery are taken from the telephoto lens, a quarter from the main one, the rest are taken with an ultra-wide angle, but rather converted to a 2x zoom, which has proven quite good for me, especially for portraits.

I will marry everything, but not the telephoto lens

But thanks to the 5x zoom, you can really see further, which you will definitely appreciate in any landscape photo, as evidenced by the present gallery. It also works great in the case of architecture. I can't remember a single time when I sighed about missing 3x zoom.

It's a real shame that Apple is stuffing a useless and lousy ultra-wide-angle camera into the basic range, because a telephoto lens would surely find its place here, even if only 3x. Apple could only put the 5x in the Pro models, which would still differentiate the series sufficiently. But we probably won't see that. Telephoto lenses are not even pushed into cheaper Androids, because they simply cost more money.

I would like everything - the materials, the refresh rate of the display, the performance, the Action button and the USB-C speeds. But a telephoto lens just doesn't. My mobile photography would suffer a lot. It wouldn't be so much fun anymore. For that reason as well, I have to say that even after four years, I really enjoy the iPhone 15 Pro Max and I know that it will continue to be fun.
