How to cool down an iPhone is a term that is currently being searched for more and more often. Of course, along with summer and beautiful weather comes high temperatures, which are definitely not good for your iPhone and other devices. With excessive use in above-average temperatures, your Apple phone can heat up so much that it shuts down completely and displays a warning to let you cool down. High temperatures are not particularly good for the battery (just like the extra low ones), but also for other parts of the hardware. Let's look together in this article at 5 tips on how you can relieve your iPhone in high temperatures.

Remove the packaging

If you have a case on your iPhone, you should remove it in high temperatures. Cases certainly do not help the iPhone cool better. The heat generated by the use of the iPhone has to get "out" - in all cases the chassis itself prevents it. When you add a cover to the chassis of the device, that's another extra layer through which the heat has to get out. Of course, if you have a narrow cover on your iPhone, it doesn't matter that much. However, ladies and women in general have a habit of equipping their iPhone with a thick leather or similar cover, which makes the cooling much worse.

Use it in the shade

To avoid overheating the device, you should always use it in the shade. In direct sunlight, you won't see much on the display anyway. Therefore, every time you need to solve a problem on your iPhone, you should move to the shade or somewhere in a building where it is always less hot. The same applies to placing your phone - avoid placing your device on a table somewhere in direct sunlight. In this case, overheating may occur within minutes and if you do not remove the device from direct sunlight in time, you risk permanent battery damage/explosion/fire.

Do not leave it in the car

Just like you shouldn't leave your pet in your car in the summer, you shouldn't leave your iPhone in your car. It's okay to leave your iPhone somewhere in the shade, but definitely don't leave it in the holder that's attached to the windshield. If you decide to leave the iPhone in the car, place it so that it is not in direct sunlight - for example, in a compartment. You yourself certainly know what kind of fire can develop in a car within a few minutes in direct sunlight. You wouldn't expose yourself or your dog to it, so don't expose your iPhone to it—unless you want to get rid of it, along with your vehicle, where an exploding battery could start a fire.

Do not play games or charge it

Any more demanding actions can heat up your iPhone. While this is not a problem in the winter, in the summer when it is hot outside, you will definitely not benefit from heating the iPhone further. So if you want to play games, make sure you are somewhere cool, where the ambient temperature is not high. In addition to playing games and performing complex tasks, the iPhone also heats up when charging - and even more so when fast charging. So charge it somewhere inside the building and not outside in the sun.

Turn off certain services

If you still need to use your iPhone in high temperatures, try to eliminate the use of unnecessary services as much as possible. If you don't need Wi-Fi, turn it off, if you don't need Bluetooth, turn it off. Do it this way with all other services, for example with location services (GPS), etc. Try not to have several unnecessary applications open on the iPhone at the same time, and at the same time try to assign simple actions to the iPhone that do not make it particularly "sweat".

What if the device overheats?

The iPhone, or rather its battery, is built in such a way that it can work without problems in the temperature range of 0 - 35 degrees Celsius. The iPhone can work even outside this range, but it certainly does not benefit it (for example, the well-known shutdown of the device in the dead of winter). As soon as your iPhone overheats, information about this fact will appear on the display. iPhone won't let you use it in this case. The notification will be displayed on the display until it cools down. If you see this warning, move the iPhone to a cool place as soon as possible so that it can lower its temperature as quickly as possible.
