Very interesting information came from The Wall Street Journal server, which approached the analytical company The Counterpoint Technology Market Research asking if they could calculate how much money Samsung makes from each sold iPhone X. Given that it is the South Korean giant that supplies some very important components, it is certainly not a small amount.

According to a report by The Counterpoint Technology Market Research, Samsung is delivering several things for Apple and its iPhone X. In addition to the custom-made OLED panel, there are also batteries and some capacitors. By far the most expensive, however, is the OLED panel, the production of which (according to Apple's specifications) is extremely demanding and achieves a poor yield (in September it was said to be about 60%).

As for the components themselves, Samsung should get about $4 billion more from the order for Apple than the price for the components it makes for its own flagship model, the Galaxy S8. According to analysts, roughly half should be sold, compared to Apple's flagship.

According to the calculations of the authors of this study, Apple will pay Samsung roughly $110 for every iPhone X sold. Analysts expect Apple to sell around 2019 million of these devices by the end of summer 130. This clearly shows how dependent the two companies are on each other, even though it may not appear that way in public, despite all the court battles. Investment bank CLSA estimates that Apple orders make up more than a third of Samsung's turnover.
