Apple tablets are enjoying ever-increasing popularity. This was also exacerbated by the global pandemic, when people needed suitable devices for working and studying from home. In addition, the analytical company Counterpoint recently came out with the latest report, in which it focuses on sales of iPads in the first quarter of this year. Apple could already celebrate a 2020% year-on-year increase in sales in 33, while it was able to repeat the success this time as well.

This is how Apple presented the new iPadOS 15:

According to information from the company Counterpoint In the first quarter of 2021, Apple's market share of the tablet market increased from 30% to 37% year-on-year. Although the entire market was at its peak in the fourth quarter of last year, it was now set to rise again by another 53%. Of course, the sellers themselves wanted to use this to satisfy the increased demand. For example, Apple and Samsung therefore released a number of new models, which they promoted in various ways. Thanks to this, both companies were also able to grow in this direction. On the other hand, for example, the Chinese Huawei lost part of its market share, overwhelmingly due to the imposed embargo.

As for iPads, their sales have already improved by 2020% year-on-year in 33. This has been repeated even now, when for the first quarter of 2021 this value has increased to 37%. Sales fared best in Japan, where they broke their local record. The most popular model is the basic iPad of the 8th generation, which accounts for the vast majority of units sold. Of all Apple tablets sold, more than half, i.e. 56%, is the iPad just mentioned. It is followed by the iPad Air with 19% and the iPad Pro with 18%. The 8th generation iPad managed to get the first place for a simple reason. In the price/performance ratio, this is a first-class device that can handle a number of tasks with the snap of a finger.
