One of the many advantages of connected cars is the fact that you can manage them remotely. For example, BMW vintageu 2014 and later offers the ConnectedDrive service, thanks to which you can remotely activate the heating or air conditioning, so even in bad weather, you will immediately feel comfortable in your car. In addition, you can check the fuel or battery status or your car localize. Last but not least, you can use the application to unlock, lock or share data from mobile maps.
So far, these gadgets bylo the need to use dedicated apps from car manufacturers, thanks to the upcoming iOS 13.4 update but for them can at least lighten the situation a bit. A new feature is hidden inside the newly released developer beta carkey, with which you will be able to unlock, lock or directly start your car using NFC, provided that your car supports the CarPlay function.
Simply hold your iPhone or Apple Watch to the door to unlock and lock the driver, it does not even require Face ID on the iPhone, so you can use the function even if your battery is low. However, this setting can be changed at any time. The iPhone is paired with the car using the NFC reader in the car and the Wallet application. After the initial pairing with the iPhone, the data automatically synchronizeí with Apple Watch. Another interesting feature is the possibility to share your car key with other people, e.g. your wife or other family members.
This is a further extension of the platform CarPlay, which was first announced as iOS in the Car at WWDC 2013. A few months later, the feature was renamed to CarPlay, and Apple announced the first manufacturer supporting the new interface at the Geneva trade show, jas he wasi Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo. Later, the function was extended to other brands, including BMW, whicheré initially rejected this function. Today, the feature is even supported on motorcycles including the Honda Gold Wing or Harley-Davidson Touring.

It would be quite enough for me if CarPlay worked wirelessly in my car... although, to be honest, CarPlay rather degrades the capabilities of the car as such. I have a VW Arteon (2017) and without connecting to CarPlay I can control the phone, navigation, etc. without problems with my voice already with what is integrated in the car.
When I connect CarPlay (via a cable), only Siri listens to me, which does not understand Czech names, so even entering a Czech address into the navigation system is a problem, etc.
1) for wireless CarPlay you need a proper radio that supports it
2) you can enter the address in GoogleMaps in Czech
But I agree that Siri still can't speak Czech, it's embarrassing.
AUDI can play wirelessly, it's a premium feature... it's locked in the radio because it goes through a cable in another VAG group brand... I'm trying to edit the FW RADIO, for example I can already unlock the navi set, so I'm going to wifi car play, just for that need more time
In arteon 2019, the mentioned works for me... incl. wireless CarPlay
Nice, but can it finally be used to open anything? For example, with doormen 2N, etc.
I have a Mondeo 2019 with Sync3 and CarPlay is a disappointment...the environment was ten years ago, Sync3 reads my text messages in normal Czech, it even contains older SMS, it knows excellent Czech and has intelligent voice control in Czech...and with iPhone! Since the previous Passat, the connectivity with the iPhone has been perfect... But unfortunately, the up-to-dateness of cops, radars and accidents is still far ahead on Waze..
