Owners of iPhones and at the same time customers of the operator O2 can use fast data transfers from Saturday, O2 was the last Czech operator to operate high-speed LTE technology in its network for iPhones.
LTE arrived on iPhones in our network today with an update! Update in Settings-General-Information. So how's it going for you? pic.twitter.com/wlluPwSVgR

O2 says its superfast LTE internet will let you download at speeds of up to 110Mbps on mobile devices. Similar to other operators, O2's high-speed network is still being developed, so you can only use 4G on your iPhones in some parts of Prague and Brno (see coverage map).
In order for an iPhone to connect to high-speed internet on the O2 network, you need to update the network settings in Settings > General > Information.
Any other info if this only applies to the iPhone 5s or does iPads (mini) work as well? Thanks
I've been supporting iPads with O2 for a long time, about 2 months. It was just waiting for the iPhone.
Hello, I tried to update to 4S but it doesn't work. Does the 4S even have LTE support? Thank you.
I don't think the 4S has LTE, since the 5/5C/5S
So.. And we lost the option to turn off 3G.. On the way to PHA, it even drains 50% of my battery when I surf. With 3G off max 20%.
Hi Jirka, you can turn it off just fine. Normally the settings in mobile data…
Jirka is thinking of turning off 3G so he can use the Edge. When 3G is on, but 3G is not available, the battery drops quite a bit. This is how you actually turn off LTE, and the device will go to Edge/3G, when it will always search for 3G, which eats up the battery.
It just can't be turned off. Previously, 3G turned off and Edge remained. Now LTE will be turned off and 3G will remain.
That's right :( I stupidly bought Vodafone some time ago and the battery is running low. Is there any way to return it?
Please advise - if I accidentally declined the update... how do I accept it again?
Díky
Sorry, I'm a llama :-)
It's written in that tweet.
I also inadvertently rejected her yesterday and somehow I didn't realize it. But today, I went into the settings-general-information again and it popped up again ;). But it's still useless, there's no 4G reception anywhere :-/.
That's nice, but Edge has been completely unusable with O2 for 2 years, unlike 2011/12, how is that possible, then what's the use of 4G?
Does anyone have any info on sharing LTE transmitters between O2 and T-mobile - how exactly does it work? I have O2, but if I'm in a place where O2 doesn't have LTE but T-mobile does, will I go to LTE from T-mobile? Or what is this advantage of network sharing for the customer? :)
