While autumn Keynotes have been a tradition at Apple for many years, spring conferences are definitely not held every year. Most of these spring Keynotes have been held in March, with the exception of 2006, when Apple held its conference in February, and 2010, when it was held in April instead. What has the company presented at its spring Keynotes so far?

February 2006

On February 28, 2006, Apple introduced a handful of brand new products. These included an iPod Hi-Fi, a Mac mini with an Intel Core Duo processor and new leather iPod covers. The company began sending out invitations to the event a week in advance, inviting journalists and experts to "come and see the new fun products from Apple."

April 2010

In April 2010, Apple presented the iPhone OS 4 operating system at its extraordinary Keynote. Among other things, it brought more than a hundred new functions to iPhone and iPod touch owners, and for developers it meant the arrival of a new SDK for even better application creation possibilities. The iPhone OS 4 operating system brought news in the form of new multitasking options, the ability to switch between applications more quickly, the ability to create folders or even improved email functions.

March 2011

On February 22, 2011, Apple began sending out invitations to its extraordinary Keynote, scheduled for March 2 of that year. At this event, the company presented to the world the second-generation iPad, the iOS 4.3 operating system, and the Garage Band and iMovie applications for iPad. The tablet from Apple was already a very popular product at the time, and the eyes of the lay and professional public were impatiently fixed on its second generation. It brought news in the form of a new A5 processor, front and rear cameras and a three-axis gyroscope.

March 2012

Even in March of the following year, Apple did not deprive the world of its extraordinary Keynote. At the conference held at the Yerba Buena Center, Apple presented, for example, the third-generation Apple TV, the Japanese mutation of the Siri voice assistant, or perhaps the third-generation iPad. Software updates included the iPhoto application for iPhone and iPad and the iOS 5.1 operating system. Tim Cook also gave a speech at the event, in which he talked about the current "post-PC world", in which personal computers are no longer at the center.

March 2015

After the event at which it introduced the third-generation Apple TV and iPad, Apple took a three-year hiatus from spring Keynotes. The next extraordinary conference took place in March 2015, it was subtitled "A Spring Forward" and the company presented to the world, for example, the new MacBook or the iOS 8.2 operating system, revealed the date of the start of sales and the price of the expected Apple Watch, and presented the ResearchKit platform.

March 2016

On March 10, 2016, the venue for the spring Keynote with the subtitle "Let us loop you in" was the Town Hall at the company's headquarters at 1 Infinite Loop. One of the highlights of this Keynote was the introduction of the new iPhone SE. The body, reminiscent of the popular iPhone 5S, hid great features and really good performance, and many users in the following years (so far) unsuccessfully called for a second generation of this popular little thing. In addition to the iPhone SE, Apple also introduced the CareKit platform and other software innovations in the spring of 2016.

March 2018

A year later, Apple held another Spring Keynote. The conference was held on the grounds of Lane Tech College Prep High School, and the company presented its new iPad, designed especially for the needs of education and training. The diagonal of the display of this tablet was 9,7 inches, and the iPad also offered support for the Apple Pencil. On the software front, Apple introduced updates to Pages, Keynote, Numbers, GarageBand, and Clips, as well as Everyone Can Code and Everyone Can Create, in spring 2018.

March 2019

Last spring, Apple's extraordinary Keynote was a little different. The company presented its trio of brand new services with great fanfare – gaming  Arcade, streaming  TV+ and news  News+. In addition, a new credit card that emerged from Apple's collaboration with Goldman Sachs was also introduced at the conference. Tim Cook has been talking about his plans to focus intensively on services for several years, but only in March of last year did he show what he really meant.
