Apple punishable did not include the so-called landscape mode for writing emails and sms (turning the keyboard to landscape, as it is for example in Safari). Fortunately, third-party applications have recently started to appear, at least for emails solves this deficiency. On the other hand, they're just another app on the iPhone, and one has to switch to that app from the Mail app, which isn't exactly ideal. There is no other way, Apple's rules are strict and no interference with the software is legally possible. Moreover, these applications were submitted for approval already at the end of August, but they appear in the Appstore after more than a month. This probably means only one thing – Apple doesn't even plan to write landscape emails.

There are more of these applications on the Appstore now, I'm guessing 4-5, but I chose this one. And why? For the simple reason that it's simply free. And how does it work? You start the mail application, start writing a new message (or reply to an incoming message), close the application, start Firemail and you can write an e-mail in landscape. After you have written the email, just send the message to the Mail application, which will then start and insert your text there. In short, it's a simple application, but if someone writes emails on the go as often as I do, they will certainly welcome it.
