They have been speculated for a long time and their introduction was only a matter of time. This is also thanks to the fact that many world celebrities have already been caught in public with them. Apple introduced them on Monday, June 14, and now they are also present in its Apple Online Store. But are they worth buying, or is it better to reach for AirPods Pro? Beats Studio Buds are TWS headphones, although they differ in design from AirPods, but otherwise they have a lot in common. Available in black, white and red, they don't feature the typical stem. They are thus less noticeable in the ear, even though they have the brand's logo in the form of a "b" symbol. But they offer all (important) modern technologies and also score points with the price.

Beats Studio Buds they use a unique acoustic platform and are designed as compact headphones with dynamic, balanced sound. Proprietary two-member diaphragm driver in a two-chamber housing achieves clear sound with excellent stereo separation. An advanced digital processor optimizes audio delivery for loudness and readability, while providing transparent noise cancellation. The result is a convincing sound that captures the original musical charge from the studio.
In contrast, they have AirPods Pro a specially designed high-displacement, low-distortion speaker that delivers convincing bass. A super-efficient amplifier with a large dynamic range produces crystal-clear and perfectly readable sound while saving battery life. And the adaptive equalizer automatically fine-tunes the tone according to the shape of the ear for a rich and consistent listening experience.
But AirPods Pro have an H1 chip, which ensures extremely low sound latency and, above all, will offer surround sound. But you can also use Beats headphones with Android. Through the Beats app for Android, you can access built-in controls, device status information (such as battery level), and firmware updates. With Apple devices, you don't need any extra app, because all the necessary functions are already built into iOS. With regard to multi-platform use, the USB-C charging connector was also chosen.
The price will decide
Although they are Beats Studio Buds top headphones, they have quite a lot of compromises. We will not deal with the control using the pressure sensor on the AirPods Pro and the buttons on the "Beats", this is more about habit and personal preferences. The absence of wireless charging in the case of the novelty can already be regretted, but the lack of surround sound, which is a clear attraction of AirPods, will probably be more annoying. But are these two functions worth the extra charge of CZK 3?
You can officially buy AirPods Pro for CZK 7, while Beats Studio Buds will cost you CZK 290 (availability is planned for this summer). For example, at Alza, of course, the price of AirPods Pro is lower. However, the price difference is still really drastic. But it is true that, apart from the mentioned two essential functions, AirPods will also offer automatic switching between Apple devices and detection of their placement in the ear, when the playing music will automatically stop after removal. But is it enough to pay almost double the amount?
“AirPod Pro is a specially designed speaker with a highly mobile diaphragm and low distortion that has a convincing bass performance. A super-efficient amplifier with a large dynamic range produces crystal-clear and perfectly readable sound while saving battery life. And the adaptive equalizer automatically fine-tunes the sound according to the shape of the ear for a rich and consistent listening experience. "Really?! I had them for about 3 months and they flew out of the house, precisely because of the rather lousy sound. Fortunately, the logo makes this shit an easy sell, so they just got dusted. I have my ears and the music I like to play in them and I say, Airpods Pro are pretty crappy headphones, corresponding to the price tag of 800 CZK. Which is also the price of 1:1 copies that play and behave exactly the same. About one factory and one line glues the logos and then it costs 7K and the other line does not glue the logos and it costs 800CZK!!!! That's about the "quality".
Since 2004, I have been using Apple products with great satisfaction precisely because the technology doesn't turn me off, it just works. Basically, I haven't had a single problem during that time. So no one can suspect me of anti-Apple bias :-)
However - I pretty much agree with the previous discussant about Airpods Pro. In short, the sound is bad, bad for the price. The idea of switching headphones between devices thanks to the H1 chip is good, but it doesn't work 100%. Definitely don't take them on the plane, they don't dampen the sound so much that it's pleasant, if you add salt to the music, it's downright unpleasant - low-quality sound. Apple definitely has room for improvement.
