Chemical aging of the battery
As such, the battery is a consumable component that is subject to the aforementioned chemical aging, thereby losing its effectiveness. When is it time to replace the battery?
The iOS system itself informs you that it is high time to replace the battery. In the past, Apple added a great function to it in the form of Battery Health, which informs about the current state of the maximum capacity compared to a brand new battery. Simply go to Settings > Battery > Battery health, where by the box Maximum capacity you will see the value expressed as a percentage. According to this, it is shown below whether the phone offers the maximum performance of the device, or whether various problems do not appear due to insufficient battery.
In the event that anything is wrong with the battery, the so-called will also be displayed at the very top Important battery message. For example, when the maximum capacity drops below 80%, the iPhone itself will advise you to have the battery replaced. In particular, you may more often encounter a sudden reduction in performance or regular shutdown, which can be felt all the more in a colder environment.

Although changing the battery seems like a common operation, you should definitely not underestimate it.
