Apple has established a really nice tradition in that it usually introduces new colors of its current iPhones in the spring. This year, he was a bit ahead of himself, but here we have a new yellow, which he gave at least to the basic series of iPhones 14 and 14 Plus. It would certainly be nice to see it raise interest in the Apple Watch, iPads or MacBooks as well.

Apple is no longer just black and white. It's been a long time since this duo of colors was extended to include gold, but it was only with the iPhone XR (if we don't count the iPhone 5C, which were rather an exception) that it showed the first big wildness. By the way, it was possible to get the iPhone XR in a very pleasant yellow, when it was also available in the case of the iPhone 11. The 24" iMac or the 10th generation iPad is also yellow.

It's a small thing, but everyone likes colors and they simply work in terms of marketing, which all other manufacturers of not only smartphones know. That's why it's quite a shame that Apple innovates colors only for iPhones, when its portfolio is quite large (but it understood it, for example, with HomePod mini). We are not saying that it should give flashy colors to the iPad Pro or MacBook Pro, but the iPad Air, iPad mini, MacBook Air or Apple Watch are directly claiming it.

Now is the right time

The new color is just a color, as otherwise the device is exactly the same, but given its shorter time period on the market, it's simply more exclusive. In addition, the post-Christmas market is of course weaker for any sales, as customers have just exited their finances in the pre-Christmas period, so now is the ideal time to revive the portfolio. It is also a period of many discounts, which, by the way, is also currently prevailing on many Apple products.

Of course, the titanium Apple Watch Ultra doesn't need any color modification, but the Apple Watch SE only has three rather more settled variants, where you could certainly think of more. The same can also be said about the Series 8, which is also available in three colors but alternatively in aluminum or steel. In addition, there is also one (PRODUCT)RED red for aluminum. However, Apple is probably betting on a high degree of personalization here with the help of a strap and rather forgets about the color of the watch itself.

For iPads, it catches up with its Smart Folio covers. After all, it is easier for him to sell you a case, cover or strap than to deal with a new color of the entire device. So there is no indication that we will ever see another color expansion during the product's lifetime.
