The affordable Apple One package, which combines Apple services into one and is available at a lower price, has been with us since the end of 2020. In our region, there are two tariffs to choose from - individual and family - which combine Apple Music,  TV+ , Apple Arcade and iCloud+ cloud storage. In the individual tariff with 50 GB of storage and in the case of the family 200 GB. You can get all this for 285/389 CZK per month. While this doesn't sound too bad in itself, it has one major problem that keeps many apple fans from ever buying a package. The offer of tariffs is simply too modest.

Looking at the current offer, you have practically only one option - either everything or nothing. So, if you are only interested in two services, for example, then you are simply out of luck and will have to pay for them individually, or take the whole package straight away and, for example, start using the others as well. Personally, I can imagine several interesting programs that could convince a number of apple users to subscribe.

iCloud+ as the key to success

The most important service at the moment is undoubtedly iCloud+. In this sense, we specifically mean cloud storage, which we can't do without now, if we want to be able to access our data from anywhere, without having to limit ourselves to phone storage. In addition, this service is not only used for backing up photos, but can also save data from individual applications, contacts, messages, phone records and entire iOS backups. For this reason, iCloud+ can be considered a key element that should not be missing from other tariffs.

It would certainly be worth it if Apple came up with a multimedia tariff that, in addition to the aforementioned iCloud+, would combine, for example, Apple Music and  TV+, or even a fun subscription with Apple Arcade and Apple Music might not be harmful. If such plans actually come to fruition and come with a good price tag, they might be able to convince Apple users using rival music platform Spotify to switch to the Apple One, allowing the Cupertino giant to generate more profit.

50GB of storage is not enough today

Of course, it doesn't have to be just about such combinations. In this direction, we return again to the aforementioned iCloud+. As we mentioned above, you do get access to all the services in the individual Apple One plan, but on the other hand, you have to settle for only 50GB of cloud storage, which in my opinion is woefully small for 2022. Another option is pay extra for storage as standard and thus pay for both iCloud+ and Apple One. Because of this, most of us are condemned in advance to the second option, when we simply need to expand the free space a little more.

The ideal solution for apple growers

Of course, the very best thing would be if each apple grower could choose a package of services according to his own needs. For example, the more you would pay, the bigger the discount you could get. Although such a plan sounds perfect, it probably won't be so good for the other party, namely for Apple. Currently, the giant has the opportunity to make more money from the fact that most users have to pay for services individually, because the package is simply not worth it. In short, they would not be able to use its full potential. The current setup makes sense in the finale. Honestly, I think it's a shame to limit ourselves to a smaller part of apple growers. Of course, I don't mean to say that Apple should drastically reduce the price of its services. I would just like some more options.
