Italian consumer association sues Apple for slowing down older iPhones

In general, Apple products can be considered high-quality and powerful products, which are also complemented by an amazing design. Unfortunately, nothing is as rosy as it might seem at first glance. We were able to see for ourselves in 2017, when a still-remembered scandal surfaced regarding the slowing down of older iPhones. Of course, this led to several lawsuits, and American apple growers even received compensation. But the case is definitely not over yet.

An Italian consumer association known as Altroconsumo has today announced a class-action lawsuit against Apple over their then-planned slowdown of Apple phones. The association is seeking damages of 60 million euros for the benefit of Italian consumers who have been harmed by this practice. The lawsuit specifically names iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S and 6S Plus owners. The impetus for this lawsuit is also that the mentioned compensation took place in America. Altroconsumo disagrees, saying European customers deserve the same fair treatment.

Concept: How the Apple Watch could measure blood sugar

Apple Watch is moving forward year after year, which we can see especially in the field of health. Apple is aware of the power of the watch, which can monitor our state of health, alert us to various fluctuations, or even take care of saving our lives. According to the latest news, this year's generation of Apple Watch Series 7 could arrive with an amazing feature that will be especially appreciated by diabetics. The Cupertino company should implement an optical sensor in the product for non-invasive blood glucose monitoring.

It didn't take long before we got the first concept. It specifically shows how the respective application could look and function. The program could display "floating" red and white balls to represent blood cells. The general distribution would then maintain the same form as an EKG or blood oxygen saturation measurement for a clear unification. After the blood sugar measurement is complete, the application could display the current value and allow you, for example, to view a more detailed graph or share the results directly with a family member or doctor.

Of course, we can expect that if we see this gadget this year, notifications will also come with it. These would alert users to low or, conversely, high blood sugar levels. As the sensor is optical and non-invasive, it can measure values almost constantly, or at least at regular intervals.
