Apple has focused really consistently on the health segment recently. The proof of this was, for example, the spectacular presentation of the new instrument HealthKit na WWDC, health-oriented advertising on the iPhone 5s from June or the unveiling of a completely new product with the name Apple Watch. Now in Cupertino they are continuing the established trend and a section of applications that can communicate with the Health system application is newly promoted in the App Store.
The Health application already arrived in iOS 8, but at the last moment Apple was forced download all apps connected to it using HealthKit. He corrected the error a few days later in iOS 8.0.2 and now the corresponding applications have already appeared in the App Store.
The new section highlights 14 selected health and fitness apps that can take advantage of one of iOS 8's biggest innovations and send their data to a central system app. The user therefore has all the necessary information from the applications he uses in one place. Thanks to this, he can view clear summary graphs or statistics and, in short, have a better overview of his health and training.
The list of selected applications including fitness trainers, calorie counters and, for example, tools for effective meditation is as follows:
- FitStar Personal Trainer (free)
- Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker (free)
- Human - Activity & Calorie Tracker (free)
- Noom Coach: Weight Loss (free)
- Yummly Recipes & Grocery Shopping List (free)
- WebMD - Trusted Health and Wellness Information (free)

I would take the app nike+ running :-)
Too bad Runtastic isn't there.
The new Runtastic 5.4.4 was released today, which fully syncs with Apple Health :-)
why can't I see it anywhere? :(
it's slow and they will increase. Runtastic is there, but only free, for example Runtastic doesn't run yet. In my opinion, one of the most important applications that runs right from the start and is not mentioned here is Myfitnesspal.
It's the second app:
Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker (Free)
I downloaded it and can recommend it.
where is that section somehow I couldn't find it there.. the applications I use are missing there, either sleep cycle or withings (and I'm extra curious about that one, because I have a few things from them and I'd like to see it integrated)
Centered is not on the Czech Appstore
"Health" includes Fuel, Nike is a big partner with Apple, and neither Nike Running nor Nike Fuelband have an update to support it. I do not understand…
