The phrase that was a specialty of Steve Jobs was heard for the first time from someone else's mouth during the keynote. And Tim Cook had every right to do so. A revolutionary product can come along once every few years. Speculations uniformly referred to the watch as iWatch, however, Apple chose a different, even simpler name – Watch. The full name is Apple Watch, or Watch. In 2015, when they will go on sale, Apple will begin writing a new era for its devices.
Design
The official press release states that it is the most personal device ever, which is of course true. It doesn't get any closer than our wrists. The Watch will come in two sizes, the larger of which will measure 42 mm in height, the smaller will be 38 mm. What's more, the watch will be produced in three editions:
- Watch – sapphire glass, stainless steel
- Watch Sport – ion reinforced glass, anodized aluminum
- Watch Edition – sapphire crystal, 18K gold body
Each edition will be available in two color variants, so almost everyone could find their own – Stainless Steel and Space Black Stainless Steel for the Watch, Silver Aluminum and Space Gray Aluminum for the Watch Sport, and Yellow Gold and Rose Gold for the Watch Edition . Add to that six types of straps in different color designs, and it immediately becomes clear that the Watch will be highly personalizable. There is nothing to be surprised about, because watches are not only a time indicator but also a fashion accessory.
Hardware
Apple (quite logically) didn't mention battery life, but did mention how the Watch charges. This is nothing more than what we would not know from MacBooks. So MagSafe has also made its way to watches, but in a slightly different form. While on MacBooks power is used through the connector, on the Watch it was necessary to come up with a different solution, since they do not have any connector. This is nothing more than inductive charging, which is not a technological innovation, but we are seeing it for the first time at Apple.
In addition to MagSafe, there are other electronics on the back of the Watch. Under the sapphire crystal, there are LEDs and photodiodes that can measure heart rate. An accelerometer is then hidden inside the watch, which collects all the data about your movement. GPS and Wi-Fi in the iPhone need to be used for accurate location determination. All the electronics are stored in a single chip called S1. And we're still not done with what could fit into the Watch.
Also worth mentioning is the Taptic Engine, which is a drive device inside the watch that creates haptic feedback. It is therefore not a vibration motor as we know it from, for example, iPhones. The Taptic Engine does not create vibrations, but rather taps your wrist (from the English tap - tap). Each notification can be accompanied by a different sound or a different tap.
Control
The hardware still lacks a display, more precisely a Retina display. As expected, it is logically a small touchpad. Unlike Apple's other touch devices, the Watch's display is able to distinguish between gentle taps and continuous pressure. Thanks to this fact, other gestures can be distinguished and thus offer the user other actions or contextual offers.
We are slowly starting to get to the software. However, in order to operate the software, we need an input device. First, Apple showed us how to work with a mouse on a Mac. He later taught us how to control the music on the iPod using the Click Wheel. In 2007, Apple revolutionized the mobile phone market when it introduced the iPhone with its multi-touch display. And now, in 2014, at the launch of the Watch, he showed the Digital Crown - a classic watch wheel transformed for the needs of the 21st century.
The user interface of the Watch is controlled simultaneously using the display and the Digital Crown. The display is suitable for gestures, as we are used to from iOS. The Digital Crown is useful for selecting from a menu of options or zooming in/out on icons in the main menu. Of course, the control is difficult to describe only from observations from Apple Watch samples, but as a basic description and idea, this is enough. Finally, the Digital Crown can be pressed, which simulates pressing the home button as we know it in iOS.
Time and date
And what can the Watch do? First, quite unexpectedly, display the time and date. You will be able to choose from a whole constellation of "dials" that you can customize - add weather forecast, stopwatch, sunrise/sunset, upcoming calendar event, moon phase, etc. According to Apple, there will be over two million of these combinations. These are possibilities that are practically impossible on classic watches, even digital ones.
Communication
What kind of smart watch would it be if you couldn't use it to make phone calls. Of course, Watch can do this. It can also reply to a text message or iMessage. However, don't look for the Pidi keyboard on the watch display. The Watch will automatically offer several reply options that it creates based on the text of the incoming message. The second way is to dictate the message and send it as text or as an audio recording. With the lack of support for Czech in Siri, we can probably forget about this, but maybe by 2015 the facts will change.
Apple also introduced four more methods of communication that will be able to take place between the Watch. The first of these is Digital Touch, which is drawing on the display. Individual strokes are complemented by slight animations, and thus create a graceful impression. The second way is the good old Walkie-Talkie. In this case, there is no need to start a classic phone call at all, and two people with the Watch can communicate using only their wrists. The third is a tap, which just reminds someone of you. The last and fourth is the heartbeat - the Watch uses a sensor to record your heartbeat and send it.
Fitness
Watch will offer built-in Activity apps. It will be divided into three main sections formed by circles – Move (Movement) to measure calories burned, Exercise (Exercise) to measure minutes spent sitting and Stand (Quiet) to measure how often we got up from sitting and went to stretch. The goal is to sit less, burn as many calories as possible, and do at least some exercise every day and thus complete each of the three circles every day.
In the Activity application, you will be able to choose from types of activities (walking, running, cycling, etc.). You can set a goal and a reminder for each activity so you don't forget it. For each accomplished goal, the application rewards you with success, thus motivating you to overcome increasingly challenging goals. Of course, everything depends on the will and willingness of each person. However, for many people, this approach could help them get motivated to start doing something and beat their results.
Payments
One of the innovations at the keynote was a new payment system Apple Pay. The Passbook app on the Watch can store tickets, airline tickets, tickets, loyalty cards as well as payment cards. To pay with the Watch, simply press the button under the Digital Crown twice and hold it to the payment terminal. This is exactly how simple payments will be in the future if you own a Watch. As with iPhones, security verification using Touch ID will not work here, but Apple has come up with a different idea for the watch - payment will not be made if the iWatch "sticks" off your skin or loses contact with your wrist. This prevents potential thieves from easily paying with a stolen Apple Watch.
Application
In the newly purchased Watch, you will find classic applications such as Calendar, Weather, Music, Maps, Alarm Clock, Stopwatch, Minute Minder, Pictures. Developers will be interested in the Glances functions for displaying news of all kinds (including third-party applications), Notifications for displaying notifications from your selected applications, and last but not least, WatchKit for creating third-party applications.
iOS apps will work perfectly transparently with those on the Watch. For example, if you leave an unread e-mail on your iPhone, this e-mail will also be added to your watch. How far this integration will extend into third-party apps is yet to be seen. However, there are no limits to imagination, and clever developers will surely find ways to use the new device to its fullest.
We won't see this year yet
As already mentioned, the Watch will go on sale in early 2015, which is at least another three months, but more likely. The price will start at 349 dollars, but Apple did not tell us more. Now all we have to do is wait and see how the Watch will actually work. There's no need to draw any conclusions yet, as we haven't seen the Watch live and won't for another month. However, one thing is certain – a new era of smart watches is beginning.

I wonder how waterproof it is... or if it's also suitable for swimming :)
This answer bothers me too! It would definitely be nice and it would help me in my decision making :).
and the same goes for the battery .. how long does it last and what about the connectivity? siri needs internet to work .. what about music, does it stream from icloud/iphone or does it have it's own storage? then it will have to be quite big :)
well, I guess that all this will gradually surface and will be known before the launch..
with an acceptable battery capacity, IP5 and more and NFC, it will surely be a very interesting addition...
That's right, all the information will gradually come out. For now, we can only speculate about everything :). Anyway, I'm very curious about them.
if they get a flashlight for 2 days, I think they will be happy :)
I'm afraid that they won't be in the water... they would have already put it on the website in the specifications and they would have gotten away with it properly... :(
I'm interested in two things: how long it lasts (I reckon not much, when it was mentioned that one attaches the charger at night) and how everything is connected to the iPhone, what works without it and what with it.
Overall, I might find the watch functionally a bit oversized. I really don't know why I would scrutinize the maps on my watch and turn the wheel when I can take out my iPhone in a few seconds, which I have to keep in my pocket anyway and where the comfort of control will be somewhere completely different. But that's probably the problem with all smart watches in general - everyone has a phone where the controls are somewhere else. So far, I still miss the point, but maybe it will catch on.
When I was walking around Prague on vacation, I don't know where (I'm not from Prague) and I was watching the navigation on my phone while walking. so I'd probably rather look at my watch than hold the phone in my hand like a moron. I'd rather have navigation from my phone in the car.
I'm not saying there's no use for the watch, but I don't know if it's going to be worth it to me to have another thing that I have to charge every day (night) and also replace every 2-3 years.
I find the watch very strange. If it has so many sensors for all-purpose measurements and Apple has given healthkiz to computers, it will also measure night sleep. If the watch has to be charged every day, it will be charged mainly at night with a stethoscope and the sleep measurement will be nothing but shit. So if the battery doesn't last at least a week, I think it's bad.
well, I would be quite interested in how the watch will let you know whether to go to the right or to the left as he mentioned in the demo .. that it has different "hums" for it, how it communicates with the owner .. I'm quite curious about this part
on the left they will give you a response in your hand once on the right twice...
I don't know why, but software-wise it reminds me of something between Android and iOS...
I don't know why either :D
what did you give please
I have a similar feeling. In particular, some text bubbles with a black background…not to mention the font. Otherwise, fine.
I really like the wheel control concept - it seems like a sensible solution for such a small device. Besides, I like to spin the wheel on my watch when I'm nervous
So it can be seen that Apple did not come up with anything new. He copied the competition, which I don't mind. If it works as well as the other watches, I'll probably buy them :) It's just a shame that they're not as pretty as the round ones from Motorola.
I would wait to make a judgment until you have them in your hand - the quality of the workmanship and handling can make a difference. The fact that the phone has a large display and is touch-sensitive does not mean that it is an iPhone.
That's clear. Maybe I'm an optimist and the watch will end up being terrible compared to competitors :)
So I don't think Apple will make a terrible product, but it's entirely possible that it won't be a miracle and they just won't stand out
It's not terrible, it's decent, but it's not a bomb. I was kind of hoping that it would also be an MP3 player, but that would probably be too much.
jeez...he copied the competition...if you've been following it for years, you know that the competition, alarmed by the news that Apple is forging watches, quickly paid something together to make it look like they were the first and they missed the train. If some journalistic idiot didn't get it right from the idea, the competition has absolutely nothing!
An Apple classic. When I saw it for the first time, I was horrified! Small display, colors like in the circus. But the more I look at it, the more it makes sense. It's definitely not a disappointment and I believe it will be another hit! ;)
Same with me
Finally, Apple has come up with something truly innovative! The watch looks amazing and the software is perfectly suited to the small display. I dare say that the Apple Watch will finally make smartwatches a popular device. Just as the iPhone did from smartphones and the iPad from tablets.
The watch is exactly what I imagined and the zoom wheel technology really surprised me.
The most interesting thing is that the iPhone 6 was revealed to the last detail, but there was no substantiated information or leaked parts or images about the iWatch until yesterday. It can be seen that Apple wanted the iPhone 6 to be talked about and therefore let some information leak out, but kept the Apple Watch under wraps until the last minute.
This California company never ceases to amaze me!
Thank you Apple!
Well, it seems to me that they are exactly the same as watches for android. So they show the time and have mini apps and are connected to the phone. So what did Apple bring really new? I have no doubt that they will sell and probably pave the way for others who don't have such good innovative marketing!
Even before the iPhone and iPad, similar devices were experimented with, but Apple popularized them thanks to three things - design, software, and then something that cannot be described in one word and maybe it is related to the previous two signs - the device simply grows on you.
haptic response, control, customization, and you can find something else...
unfortunately, if someone hadn't brought it up when Apple had the idea to work on a watch, now the competition would have nothing at all and Apple would be miles ahead of them. That's how he jumped them, but not by miles...
I don't know, I was hoping it would be a bracelet. It's not clear to me what people will do with a QUALITY watch for thousands and tens of thousands when they want to wear an iWatch. Do they put their Omegas, TagHeuers, etc. in a drawer at home and take this? Or will they have two watches? Thanks for the opinions…
I wear Omega, so maybe I can answer - I see it as wearing the iWatch as a casual device, every day, to work and for sports. Whereas Omegas go somewhere social, or more generally, where it's appropriate to wear a suit.
I have TH, but I wear them "normally" (not for sports.-)) because they are mechanical-automatic and it is better to wear them all the time.
And if they (we) want to use the health functions at Apple, I would expect to wear the "iWatch" almost all the time. Even at night (sleep monitoring). I could do that with a bracelet :-) Plus the charging and battery life.
Well, we'll see, we'll figure it out somehow... Fingers crossed :-)
So, in the end, it's mainly about how you like the device
JoJo,
but I also expected better charging, for example solar :-) Nowadays, many "ordinary" watches are recharged by solar. I have one Seiko, I haven't touched them in 6 years, they switch between summer and winter time, adjust the time according to the signal from Germany, waterproof... sure, this iWatch display and computer inside "eats" a little more, but anyway... Well, we'll see. As always, I will buy one from Apple... :-)
Agreement. I have several watches, including Breitling and Patek Philippe, and I was also hoping that the iwatch would be in the style of a bracelet with a display and sports style. After all, this is not very suitable for official occasions, and it looks like it is made of cheap material.
And why wouldn't they fit? It's like today it's not appropriate to drive somewhere in a new Octave, but you have to take the one that doesn't have an on-board computer and is made of high-quality 10mm sheet metal?
you are seeing it wrong :)
I like Apple things, I have everything possible from them and I like the Watch. But somehow I'm still trying to convince myself in vain what I should wear them for. I was waiting for the presentation to decide on the purchase, but today I definitely made up my mind - for daily wear it will be Tag Heuer. And I still can't forgive myself for the comment - Watch Edition in gold? Sorry, but this precious metal fits a completely different watch. After all, a gold watch is not a product that is thrown away in 3 years, but that is passed down between generations. At least at home, yes, but we are probably too conservative.
For one thing, it won't be made of gold, but it is gold-plated, and then look at the success of the "gold" iPhone. Just a different country, different manners. I am curious about the full stands in Asia of exact copies, but I have no idea what kind of system they will put there.
So what if… Android wear (modified Android for wearables devices)
I think the smartest solution for the Watch is to change the bands. The biggest plus will be iOS.
In fact, it's the only watch on the market that can meaningfully measure energy expenditure throughout the day. This is only possible if the heart rate is measured continuously. So far, only mio and basis can do this, but both have their limitations. Neither have GPS.
It's about how long the watch can measure. If it takes more than two days, it will be OK. The catch is that we only have one health, and in the case of saving a life, this system can certainly help.
I believe that the watch is of good quality, but I will not forgive myself that it is a design tragedy, I expected something innovative from Apple, but this ... Apple has lost its time ... and if it was supposed to be a revolution in the concept of fitness, then I say for myself that I would not even buy this watch for running or casual wear, I prefer to run with my body on my shoulder and with a chest belt :) ... I was expecting a similar design as in the illustrative photo in your article ... http://jablickar.cz/5-veci-ktere-muzeme-ocekavat-od-dnesni-velke-keynote-applu/ ... I would buy a fitness bracelet like this with such functions right away .. but this is a big disappointment
Obviously that's your opinion. But I think they are not paka. They must have done some research on what people like and don't like. You know how it is, you're not the type to please everyone :)
He is a bracelet intended for free wear because it would strangle you tightly and you would sweat. And the free one would control himself stupidly. There it is simply not possible to solve the size as well as with the strap. Otherwise, I was also in favor of a bracelet before I realized it, but I really like this watch.
I thought so now. I really wanted to buy a six. But when I think about it. If it's not better to wait for the next round next year. Maybe they'll wise up and make a Mini with 32 GB of memory :)
Design like iphone 1. Very disappointed. Fix the system.
And what about security? Unwritten e-mail on the iPad displayed on the watch and the watch stolen at the pool ... etc. I need to block the iPhone... The watch will not be within range of the iPhone and then it will lock? GPS sensor in the watch? And what if someone wants to use Apple Watch and iPad 3G and doesn't have an iPhone. A bunch of other questions come to mind. Off topic, why did they speak Chinese to us in KN?
Well, I'm satisfied, we'll see how it takes hold, but I remember the first iPhone, I thought it was quite ugly then, and I only started to like iPhones with the arrival of the 4, so we'll see how they will look in a year. It was the same with the first iPad, it was like a cube. :-)
Well, I would like to know if I buy the classic watch with a steel strap, if I can use them for sports as well, and possibly attach some silicone strap to them only when I go to exercise? Otherwise, I like it even though I prefer the watch to be bigger and probably rounder, so for me it will definitely be a bigger version and the shape, and when I can touch it in the apple store, I bet I'll fall on my ass ;)
you can, they showed it at the keynote that all the tapes can be "pulled out" and put another one in its place
Design-horror
Use? A toy for 14 days, then rush to Aukro...
Suma sumarum-crap. Yes, if you could put a sim card there and it would replace the iPhone, it would be great
I wouldn't even buy a roll from Nilda, but their watches are gorgeous compared to these bastards, and Motorola's are the nicest.
I wonder how the watch works without an iPhone because I won't be buying an iPhone for the watch (I have an iPhone 4)
If you just need a Mercedes key and you don't have to have a Mercedes, then you're on the right track!!
Oh well in that case the watch should be part of the iPhone box… or would you buy a mercedes without keys? I don't :)
Mercedes has Keyless GO ;)
1. This just means that you can't put it in the ignition, but you have the "key" with you and you will get it in the car
2. So is the key to the Mercedes as useless as the watch to the iPhone?
not sure what you meant ;)
Stone! Shut up and take my money! I'm looking forward to them like a child! Crushed seed goodness! :)
Well, to be honest, I expected more from the whole presentation. Here I recommend a sober look at the matter http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/09/apple-watch-much-ado-about-nothing/?ncid=rss_truncated . I understand this is an Apple fan forum (I am too), but are you listening? To claim that this is a revolution in smart watches or that it is the device that will finally determine exactly the calories burned? They didn't even say if it will be waterproof or how long it will last on a single charge and whether it can do more than show the time without an iPhone... I wouldn't be happy yet, the design and replaceable strap are nice, but that shouldn't be all... Personally, I think APPLE HAS TO MORE than what they showed and if you are already bowing to it then it means that apple can afford it, given how much they charge for their devices, and I say they CAN'T!. And I'd rather not comment on the stability of yesterday's stream, I've never experienced anything like it before, my colleague's iPad 2 kept crashing Safari.
Well, I was also expecting something more casual. Quite standard, expected functions that do not justify the price of 10 thousand. CZK. It will probably go down the drain, but more as a matter of image than a really practical thing. I wouldn't buy the first generation and wait for further development until third parties catch on.
If I may ask: What more would you like in a watch?
Apple playing catch-up…
So yeah, I was horrified by the photos yesterday when transcribing, but then I played the keynote and looked at the different variants on the Apple website and it completely turned around. I like it very much, the control is solved great, it can do everything I need... I'll go to them as soon as they are available :-) For 6+ it will be a blast, for me mainly for sports :-)
The whole boom around the Watch is not about the features that the Watch offers being somehow unique. As usual, it is not and will not be about the equipment. It's like iPhones. On paper, they don't have anything extra, but still we can't let them go. Why? Because they have that "something" extra. They are part of the ecosystem that gives Apple products that hallmark of functionality and usability. And if that's the case with the Watch, people will buy them instead of Fitbits and Jawbones, because compared to all other fitness bracelets and watches, the Watch will have that extra "something".
And now to me - I'm a biased sheep that can't see past the tip of its nose and so on..:))
you wrote it well :)
I already wrote about the design here, maybe even about the fitness revolution... When I run or ride a bicycle, it is important for me to know how many km I ran in what time and at what speed, and at the same time measure my heart rate... These are the basic data I think everyone who does a bit of sports uses and evaluates ... even when measuring my heart rate, I can't watch any of this without a phone, so I need to run with my phone anyway, so my watch is on ....o ... It shows how long I exercise, how many times I get up, it's not a fitness revolution Nike wristbands can also prove this, while the important thing is that it is completely unimportant for sports-oriented active people... So for me, the winner is iPhone + CHEST BELT + RUNkeeper application ... for "athletes" who need to know how many times they lifted their bum, I recommend the Nike wristband and the Nike+ application and they have it a drop cheaper :)…
Unfortunately, I cannot agree with you. When running or walking, the Apple Watch can measure not only your heart rate, but also the number of calories burned and the number of steps. By using the number of steps added to the heart rate, the Apple Watch is able to measure the distance covered, apparently with surprising accuracy. All this without an iPhone!
But when a person rides a bike or skis, he usually has an iPhone with him. Apple did it smartly - if they put GPS, which consumes a lot of power, directly into the Apple Watch, it would lose space in the watch, which can now be used for a larger battery. Instead, it prefers to use the iPhone's GPS and only when needed, cleverly splitting the power consumption between the Apple Watch and the iPhone.
I just wanted to say that if I have to use a watch and a phone together for sports, it is a completely unnecessary investment for me, because with a chest belt of the phone and a suitable application, I get much more accurate information about speed, distance, position, heart rate than some approximate calculation based on the number of steps, even data about calories burned, so from a fitness point of view watches are useless to me and I don't consider them a fitness revolution at all but just a big inflated bubble...:)... Sorry, just my opinion
I wonder how much the watch will cost in CR...
349 euros, so I think 9 at least. but file 999
I would just like to add that Apple collaborated on the watch with several very important personalities who are very well versed in the given segment and therefore I believe that together they produced something that, within all limitations (technology, ergonomics, design, price, etc.) ) works. I like how they solved the variability of the different tapes.
In yesterday's KN it was slightly mentioned that one or another element in the watch is water resistant (water resistant speaker, the entire chip with all circuits is encapsulated, absence of a connector). So it can be assumed that they can withstand water - it will be nice if they bear the 50M mark (You can swim with a watch marked 50M and the watch is able to seal to a depth of 0,5 meters, which is fully sufficient for surfers, swimmers ... in short, for surface swimming) .
They only mentioned battery life to the effect that it will charge easily EVERY night with the magsafe charger. So will it last 1 day? We'll see.
I've seen a few times here the question along the lines of "What's so revolutionary about the Apple Watch?", and while I think that question has been perfectly answered in the article, I'll make a small list of the most innovative features:
1. Design and processing of watches
The aluminum design, the screen rounded at the edges, the charging method and the amazingly simple replacement of the straps, which are beautiful in appearance, and the magnetic connection method is also something amazing. The best thing is that any belt will change the design enough that almost everyone will choose from them.
2. Digital Crown
Even though the entire technological world had it in front of their eyes for so long, they were unable to take advantage of it. After all, all normal watches have a wheel, but smart ones don't. Finally, Apple came up with it, which understood that Multi-Touch gestures would not be right for such a small display. Zooming in with the crown and at the same time using it as a Home button is a real novelty in the smart watch segment.
3. Sapphire display with pressure sensor
Not only is the display made of the world's second-hardest transparent material, but it can also measure the pressure you apply when you tap. It is therefore able to distinguish a tap from a squeeze. For example, when pressed, something like the Control Center on the iPhone appears.
4. Perfect software
After such a long time, someone has finally come up with an operating system that is exactly suitable for small displays and at the same time looks and functions perfectly.
5. Taptics
Most smartwatches vibrate for a notification, but the Watch taps your wrist, more or less times, depending on the notification. While the vibrations can also be heard by others and cannot be easily distinguished, only you can feel the tap and you can easily distinguish whether you have just received a message or an email. This is ensured by the Taptic technology developed directly by Apple.
6. Connection
No other device in the world communicates and works together better than those with iOS and Mac OS X. Now the Apple Watch has joined the iPhone, iPad, iPod and Mac in being directly dependent on this connection. You can even control Apple TV from your watch.
You read email on your watch and take out your iPhone and continue exactly where you left off on your watch. You can also make phone calls via Apple Watch, which is useful, for example, when riding a bike or skiing, when you certainly won't want to take your phone out of your pocket.
Watch is full of similar functions...
7.ApplePay
The possibility to pay with a watch is truly something wonderful and, above all, perfectly thought out and safe at the same time. You add payment cards on your iPhone and then just choose the one you want to pay on your watch and then just bring your wrist closer to the terminal and that's it.
8. Third Party Applications
What's missing from the Apple Watch now will surely be quickly replaced by third-party apps. This is surely also the reason why the watch won't be released until early next year, as the developers need some time to develop and the watch would be very limited without apps.
9. Digital Touch
Communication using simple pictures can sometimes be better than text. Apple is aware of this and therefore developed Digital Touch technology, where 2 users of the watch can communicate using images, which often mean more than written words. A great idea on how to solve communication on such a small display, which could be quite popular if the iWatch was expanded.
10. Perfectly resolved functions
Many of you write here that you lack GPS directly in your watch, why? When running, the Watch measures the number of steps, your heart rate and the number of calories burned, from which it can measure the distance traveled with surprising accuracy. The GPS would take up some space in the watch, which can now be used better, and the GPS running all day can barely last on the smartphone, let alone on the watch! If you are cycling or skiing, you need to take your iPhone with you to measure the distance traveled. However, I carry my iPhone in my pocket for both of these activities, so it wouldn't be a limitation for me. Here, the Watch cleverly uses more of the iPhone's energy, while saving its own.
Another advantage is, for example, controlling music on an iPhone or iPad. So you can keep your iPhone in your pocket and headphones in your ears and control your music via the Watch. At first I wished for a headphone jack right in the watch, but now I understand that this is a much better solution and headphone cables running from your wrist would be very inconvenient. In addition, the connector would take up space in the watch, which can now be used in another way.
These are the innovations that set the Apple Watch apart from other smartwatches. I'm sure I've forgotten many of them, but I've written the main ones here.
The only real mystery is battery life. It is certain that the watch will be water resistant, but to what extent, we do not yet know.
I hope that all the pessimists who wrote the negative comments will find that the Apple Watch has many features that no smart watch has ever had. Whether it's details (Taptic) or significant innovations (Digital Crown).
I understand that someone may not like the Apple Watch, I understand that someone simply does not need a watch, but I do not understand that someone here criticizes this smart watch without knowing anything about it before.
If there are golf apps on the Watch gps, it will be the bomb...goodbye Garmin...
Walkie-talkie, calling, tapping on the hand, all-day heart rate measurement, replaceable straps, inductive charging, pressure sensor, looks good on the hand. Quite the bomb. But I try not to buy Apple products anymore. Ever since they gave me a broken brick from 3G. Of the three apples we have at home, only one is usable. Bought a year ago. A lifespan of two or three years is not enough. When I stretch the 40-year-old Primkas, they go like they did forty years ago.
I have everything from apple...and everything works. Mac, iPad, iPhone. TV. My favorite is Ipad2 bought as a novelty... now I don't even see it anymore... maybe 4 years... it fell so many times that it's not even nice and from nice heights.
