The big news this evening, apart from the news introduced, is that Apple has stopped bundling headphones and a charging adapter with the new iPhones. The reasons are said to be primarily ecological, but let's leave that aside for now. As of this evening, Apple started offering a new USB-C charging adapter with support for up to 20W charging on its website.

According to Apple, the new 20W charging adapter is compatible with the 11″ iPad Pro and 12,9″ iPad Pro (3rd generation). It will then support the fast charging function for all new iPhones starting with the iPhone 8. The adapter is sold without a cable and has retained the same compact size as the 18W variant that was sold until now.

Compared to it, the novelty is 2W more powerful, but at the same time it is also 1/3 cheaper. The new 20W adapter can be purchased for NOK 590, which is a positive change compared to NOK 790 for the 18W model. With this step, Apple is reacting to the fact that owners of new iPhones for up to forty-five thousand will have to buy a new charger, if they do not have an older one at home for a long time. What is your opinion on the removal of accessories from the packaging of new iPhones? Let us know in the comments.
