The big news this evening, apart from the news introduced, is that Apple has stopped bundling headphones and a charging adapter with the new iPhones. The reasons are said to be primarily ecological, but let's leave that aside for now. As of this evening, Apple started offering a new USB-C charging adapter with support for up to 20W charging on its website.
According to Apple, the new 20W charging adapter is compatible with the 11″ iPad Pro and 12,9″ iPad Pro (3rd generation). It will then support the fast charging function for all new iPhones starting with the iPhone 8. The adapter is sold without a cable and has retained the same compact size as the 18W variant that was sold until now.
Compared to it, the novelty is 2W more powerful, but at the same time it is also 1/3 cheaper. The new 20W adapter can be purchased for NOK 590, which is a positive change compared to NOK 790 for the 18W model. With this step, Apple is reacting to the fact that owners of new iPhones for up to forty-five thousand will have to buy a new charger, if they do not have an older one at home for a long time. What is your opinion on the removal of accessories from the packaging of new iPhones? Let us know in the comments.
- Newly introduced Apple products will be available for purchase at, for example Alge, Mobile Emergency or u iStores
Does the iPad 2020 have this adapter in the package?
So I only have 2020W with the iPad Pro 18
Why does it only have one connector? After all, I won't have one adapter for the watch and another for the iPhone...
I like Apple products, they work for me.. but what I can't understand is Apple making complete fools of people - I mean the reason they don't include chargers. Ecology? hahahaha A company that earns as much as it does only because of the current consumer lifestyle. A company that resists so much to have easily repairable products... Apple (and other companies as well) care about ecology, only if it does not go against their business. Money always comes first. I just wonder if anyone believes this advertising crap about would-be ecology...
You rather do not understand (or do not want to admit) what you are criticizing here. Your comment is complete bullshit. The money is really all about you!
So you're probably retarded. For example, I don't have anything at home to put usb-c into and I really don't want to use a PC or laptop as a charger for the iPhone. And what should I do, my first mobile phone, the price remains the same, wow, how free they are, but I need a charger. No, the price has not been preserved, and the only one who "grabbed" or improved it is Apple. :)
The truth is that we
at home "rolling" min. 7 adapters and headphones... and it's really not necessary.
In that case, I would ask for one pair of headphones and a charger. Every time I sell an old iPhone, I sell it with complete packaging, from 1.
So I really don't have anything left at home. I will be buying 12 minis. Thank you in advance for your willingness. my email stepanek@kerat.cz
I have a charger and headphones from 3G at home, even for the car cigarette lighter. If you want, and you pay the postage and packaging, they can be yours for free. The 3G lasted me 5,5 years, I have it in a drawer out of nostalgia :-) I'm currently going for 5 years on the 6+, I destroyed the headphones (mechanically) and I use the chargers/cables, I won't let you go yet
Don't you happen to have the 3G for sale? Just so you know :)
@Pavel Jelič won't turn on, I wanted to use it as an mp3 at work. So he would be of no use to you
I would rather buy a 30W USB-C Apple adapter.
If your phone "only" supports 18W, then the adapter is of no use to you.
I haven't used headphones in 4 years. The last time was with the iPhone 6s ;-), so you were probably there for no reason. That adapter doesn't look so normal to me anymore (double with those prices, when the 12 is almost 5k more expensive than the last 11 ;-).
It's true that I already have 3 wireless chargers at home, so if I buy one for work and one for the children at home, and in a few years I'll send them my mobile phone, I probably won't need them either.
11 had LCD, 12 has OLED. There's probably no point in having fun anymore. They're just not the same phones.
