When Apple announced a few days ago that it would be replacing worn-out batteries in iPhones at a discounted price later this year, many users with disabled (and thus slowed down) phones took it as a somewhat generous move (to a degree). However, it was not clear how this service operation would take place. Who will achieve it, who will not be entitled to it. What about those who replaced the battery a few weeks ago, etc. There were many questions and we now know the answers to some of them. As it seems, the whole process will be much more friendly than perhaps originally expected.
Yesterday, information appeared on the web that was leaked to the web from Apple's French retail department. According to her, everyone who asks for it in an official Apple store will be entitled to the exchange at a discounted price. The only condition will be the ownership of an iPhone, which this promotion applies to, which is all iPhones from the 6th onwards.
Technicians won't check if your battery is new, if it's still good, or if it's completely "beaten". If you come in with an exchange request, it will be granted for a fee of $29 (or the equivalent amount in other currencies). The slowdown of iPhones was supposed to occur when the battery capacity dropped to 80% of the production value. Apple will also replace the battery for you at a discounted price, which will not (yet) slow down your iPhone.
Information also began to appear on the website that Apple is returning part of the money paid for the original service operation, which cost $79 before this event. So if you've had your battery replaced at an authorized service center in the past few weeks, try contacting Apple and let us know how you got on. It may be of interest to some other readers. If you want to see if replacing the battery makes sense for you, Apple can even diagnose it over the phone. Just call the official support line (or otherwise contact Apple with this request) and they will guide you further.

all iPhones from six and up.
Does "further" mean older or newer?
Newer.
so the 5S don't slow down?
I don't know about 5S, but SE definitely does
And how about changing the battery in CZ, does anyone know?
I contacted Český Servis and was told that they also provide a reduced price. However, they currently do not have a sufficient number of batteries in stock. They said they should stock it during this week.
And the price?
What service? Thank you :)
That company is actually called Český servis- http://www.ceskyservis.cz :-) Apple has been doing this for a long time, they are probably the most reliable in this field in our country.
Aha.. :D and I expected that it was just a typo :D. Thank you, I was considering iStyle in Revoluční.
A note to the editor.
And would it be a lot of work to write how it is with Czech services? What to do, where to call... try how it is here. Just translate the article via google translate and it's... hmm :(
I daresay it wasn't via Google Translate. But otherwise I agree. At least added value would be appropriate.
The iPhone is considered a premium product. And people have to ask in internet discussions or call Istore themselves if this version of the exchange also applies in the Czech Republic.
In my opinion, the company itself should maintain a database of customers and report this message to them through the services.
Calling, checking and still getting a message that the batteries are not enough smacks of socialism.
I tried the Istore in Zlín and they don't know anything, they don't do the exchange, they send the phones for service and they want a nice 3 CZK for the exchange!
Robot
iStore is not an Apple Store, it's just a reseller that has nothing to do with Apple :-)
iPhone 6 battery replacement at Tesco in UH in a mobile phone shop for CZK 800 while you wait.

The documentary is also great. He will open your eyes :-).
My personal experience. The first battery lasted about 10 months before the phone started to turn off. I got a new battery. Even after 13 months, the battery is still working fine!!!
I'm sorry, but with such expensive phones, I would expect the battery to last at least 2 years, as with all other mobile phones with batteries!
Hello, I tried to contact the company today http://www.ceskyservis.cz in Prague and they confirmed to me that replacing the iPhone 7 battery costs CZK 876 including labor and VAT. I got there, they diagnosed the phone before the exchange and again after the exchange. The exchange took place after waiting for about 1 hour, because I was there just around lunch and the technicians were eating. Otherwise, they wanted my exact email, because they say a questionnaire about satisfaction with the service will come from Apple.
